"Don't do this to me," Pil-woo says.

Mr. L/n and his wife stand by Chantelle's side, eyeing the man who dares oppose him. Chantelle has tears in his eyes, every fiber of his being hating this moment. But he has to do it. "I'm sorry, but I watched my whole life. I watched who I thought were my friends abuse me and cast me aside, I watched the one man I love fall in love with someone else and have a child with her, I watched everyone in my school hate me and do better than me. Finally it's my turn. I'm going to start my empire and destroy those who stand against me. Fix the injustices in this world."

"Fix the injustices? Fix them by taking over our old school? By killing?" Pil-woo asks in disbelief. His wife, Mrs. Park, comes rushing out, standing next to his side and pulling on his sleeve.

"Come on, it's not worth it. We should go," she pleads, "you should teach Jimin some basic spells. He'd love that dear. Let's leave them be."

Pil-woo shakes her off and glares at Chantelle, "I'm sorry for everything that happened to you in your life, but I can't just stand by and watch you kill innocents. Watch you go back to our school and tear it apart to make it the center for your empire."

"We'll train wizards the right way. That place is nothing more than an environment for toxicity to thrive. I witnessed it! So did you!"

"School and life is like that!" Pil-woo says, "you can't control it by taking over a school and killing innocents."

"You don't know that. Anything is better than how it is now. I'm going to train the next generation the right way, and soon enough, the world will come to respect me. To respect all of us. I'm finally finding people who agree with my cause. My officers are right next to me, helping me recruit." Mr. and Mrs. L/n do a small wave. "Please... Pil-woo, I beg you, join me and make a better environment for your son to grow up in. He's so young, so easily influenced by society." Pil-woo keeps his wife behind him and shakes his head.

"You're right. He is. I wouldn't want him to be influenced by someone like you," Pil-woo whispers.

Chantelle glares, his entire body filling with rage over what the man just said. "You either join me or don't get in my way. One of the two."

"I'm not letting you hurt any kids or professors. I can't let you do that," Pil-woo says. His wife draws her wand, pointing it at them. Mr. and Mrs. L/n do the same. Chantelle stays stiff, his heart beating faster.

"I can't let you stand in my way," Chantelle says, "you would really die here? Your boy will be left without parents. Maybe we should recruit him to join our cause."

"Please. If I could ask you one favor, it'd be to leave him out of this. Let this be between us, and send him to school if we end up being the ones losing," Pil-woo begs. Chantelle hesitates, then nods.

"You have my word," Chantelle replies. He may see nothing but red from the hatred he feels, but Pil-woo is still his first love. What kind of person would he be to bring his son into something he never asked for?

"Well let's get this over with-" Before Pil-woo can finish, the L/n's unexpectedly attack. They use death spells, not showing any mercy. Chantelle's eyes nearly burst out of his head. Mr. and Mrs. Park fall to the ground... dead. Chantelle almost falls with them.

"No..." Chantelle whispers. He stares at the two on the ground and almost breaks down.

"Let's go get the boy," Mrs. L/n starts, about to charge forward when Chantelle grabs her elbow. "Excuse me?"

Chantelle glares, "You killed without my permission and now you want to steal the boy after I gave Mr. Park my word he wouldn't be involved? You should be ashamed of yourselves. Get back in line. We're not bringing a kid into this."

"We're bringing the kids at school into this, what difference does one make?" Mr. L/n asks.

Chantelle peers down at the bodies of Jimin's parents and sighs, shaking his head. He kneels and shuts their eyes. "Because this one is his boy... and I'll protect him. For Pil-woo. For my first love."

You cry, watching Jungkook and Tae pick up Jimin's limp body. "Please be okay," you whisper, coming over and kissing his forehead, brushing his locks out of his face. You pick up his broken glasses, holding them tightly against your chest. Jimin's an asshole. Everyone knows that. You, the school, Jungkook, Tae - everyone. But he sure as hell didn't deserve this, especially when he did it to protect you.

"Please save him," you say to the two boys who saved you.

Jungkook sighs, "We'll try. Whoever those assholes were, they fled as soon as we ambushed them. I think they're heading back to the school."

"We need to get there first, put Jimin in the infirmary. Hopefully some healing spells will heal him fast," you say.

"Or at the very least stabilize him," Tae mumbles, the three of you leaving the cave.

Together you traverse up to the main bridge, going down it. You're slightly surprised that no one's waiting for you. You thought for sure the Daunted would be here already. With a sniffle and tears filling your eyes, you enter the school. "HELP!" you yell, "help us! Please help us!" Only two minutes after entering and yelling, several professors rush over. "The Daunted... they're coming! Please you need to help us! They're coming up through the bridge!"

A couple of the professors take Jimin away, Taehyung and Jungkook following them. You're about to sprint to get to the infirmary when a hand holds you back. One of the professors. "Those two boys will be kicked out too. You need to get to your room and stay there until we're sure it's safe," she says.

"Bullshit! I'm not leaving my boyfriend!"

"You're not leaving him. In fact you're doing the opposite. He'd want you to be safe, wouldn't he?"

"So you're saying he's not?" you ask.

She doesn't answer that. "Listen, you need to get back to your room and wait like everyone else."

"Fuck that I'm not leaving Jimin!"

The professor's grip on your elbow tightens, "We need to clear the area. Please go back to your room and only your room - now," she demands.

You crumble, your body strength weakening. Then, the doors burst open. All at once you get thrown back, dust filling the air. Spells break out, chaos all around you. Screaming. All you hear is screaming. So much screaming that it snaps you back to your senses. "Run!" the same professor calls to you, covering you as best as she can. You get to your feet and pant, sprinting away. You run and run and run until the panicking students running with you can't go any faster. This is it, isn't it? You let out a breath. This is where you die.
