*Let's Begin.*
It was a crisp, fall morning and beautiful brown leaves were covering the ground surrounding your cabin.A year ago, you and your girlfriend, Yelena, decided to move to a secluded cabin in the woods with the nearest town being a 45 minute drive away. But this was what you both needed, every so often other Avengers and friends would stop by to visit you, and drop off any essential items you needed. You both loved your new, private lifestyle.
This morning, you and Yelena were off for a run. There was no gym close by, but you both needed to remain active and fit. Plus the scenery down your run routes was incredible, it was one of your favourite bonding activities.
You tied your shoe laces, whilst Yelena tied her hair into her iconic double ponytail, soon enough you were out the door and jogging down the woodland path.
The first 7k of the run went smoothly, you even began to have little races with each other.
"Okay," Yelena panted, "last person to that tree, cooks dinner." She pointed towards a lone tree in a clearing in the woods.
"You're on, Belova." You smirked.
You set off, running as fast as possible, Yelena did too. The tree was nearing and the smile on your face was quickly wiped away as your girlfriend overtook you.
You heard a twig snap along with a mutter of curse words, you broke out of your run to see your girlfriend on the ground.
"Shit, Yelena, are you okay?" You ran over to her, quickly examining her to see she was holding her left ankle.
"My ankle." She grimaced.
You went and sat infront of her, swatting her hands away from the ankle she was clutching.
"Lena, I need to check it okay?" You made her fully aware of everything you were doing.
You carefully pulled her shoe off, she winced as you did so. You carefully pressed on the skin around her ankle. When she let out a gasp of pain, you stopped.
"We need to get back so I can get a proper look, can you stand for me?" You gentley cooed.
She simply shook her head, you could see she was fighting back tears.
"Hurts too much, Y/n." She whimpered, you knew it must be bad if she wasn't able to stand, as Yelena prided herself on how high her pain tolerance is.
You indicated for her to wrap her arms around your neck, and you lifted her. She winced as pain shot through her ankle once again, your heart broke at this.
Once you had gotten back to the cabin, you carried her through to the bedroom, setting her down as slowly as possibly taking extra care with her ankle. You grabbed all the first aid items and an ice-pack from the shelves before going back to check on your girlfriend.
You fully examined her ankle, moving it around to check for any sign of broken bones or torn ligaments.
"I think it's just badly sprained детка." You muttered sadly, whilst staring at her now golf ball sized ankle.
"I'm sorry baby, I know it hurts." You soothed her whimpers as you wrapped a heavy duty bandage around her ankle, to stop her moving it and injuring it more, before laying an ice pack on top. Sadly the pressure from the ice pack caused her to wince again.
Being the overprotective person you were, you made a bit of a fuss over your girlfriend, making sure her ankle was always elevated with her putting no pressure on it, you made her favourite food and read her favourite book to her.
"Anything you need?" You hovered next to where she was laid.
"Cuddles, Y/n." She opened her arms and you gladly accepted.
"Thankyou for looking after me дорогй. I love you" She whispered.
"I'll always look after you, Lena. I love you so much." You whispered back, before you both fell asleep.
