An Endless Wait.

chapter 8

I stood up startled, and walked towards Mike who was now gushing through the hospital corridor, behind him 5 more worried faces.

"what happened?"; "what did the doctor say?"; "how bad is she?"; "can we meet her?. Tears started flowing again as I made a desperate attempt to answer their questions but I couldn't, I couldn't find my voice.

"guys guys" Richard said, he came and stood next to me and held me. I leaned into him for support while he answered each of their questions

"I am gonna go home for the night" I said to the others.

"ill drop u" Jake said to me with a soothing voice.

"Rebecca and I are gonna stay and look after everything here" Kevin said to me. I just nodded and started walking.

I went and sat next to the window while Jake tried to put up dinner. I curled into a ball, closed my eyes and fell asleep there only.

after 1 month.

I woke up to the sound of the bell.

it was Richard. "hey why on earth aren't u ready already, we have to go pick up Alice" he said to me.

"2 mins" I said with my tongue out and ran upstairs.

I quickly washed and wore the first things my hands touched and ran downstairs.

"eat something" Richard said

"not needed. come on out" I yelled at him, I was already outside.

life without Alice was impossible, her absence was troublesome, she was one of my favourite people, probably on the top. The only thing that made this one month bearable was Richard who now was on that list.

"common. you are late even today. limit I say" Alice complained

I ran and hugged her, hugged her as tight as I could manage

"don't choke me to death now" she said, her voice breaking multiple times.

"cant u just shut up? I am so awfully glad to have u back" I said.
