Introduction:
Two brave elf brothers, fearless, curious, bold, have used the ways of old magic by going on a quest to bring their father back to life and learn about the special bond between brothers along the way. They thought that their questing days were over.
Or so they thought.
As they both meet the new girl from out of town, someone of a unknown and isolated kind of people, all three of them learn how anyone can handle the gift of magic, no matter who you are.
And the youngest brother deepens the bond with the girl even further as new feelings arise between the two.
But a darkness has fallen, a darkness that only these friends can stop.
Reader POV:
I was woken up by my alarm, 7am, earlier than my normal time to wake up, I needed to get ready earlier than usual. It was going to be a very stressful day, I'm going to a new school today, I haven't been to school for two months since we moved, I hate it here. The town, the people, everything, I don't understand why we needed to move so badly.
I walk downstairs to see my little sister colouring in her book, and my brother watching the television, and I see my mother making breakfast for me.
"Hey, darling, breakfast is ready", she put a bowl of cereal in front of me, "remember, first day of school so I want you to only do your best today."
"Thanks, Mum, but I know how it'll go, I mean, there aren't people like us here." I looked at her, who only smiled calmly and looked me in the eye.
"I know, I know, but gradually we will be accepted as a group of normal people, we just need to prove that we're not just humans, we're more than that."
"Thanks, Mum, I can only do my best." I left my breakfast and grabbed my bag to walk out the door.
"Remember, me and your father love you!" Mum shouted.
"Love you too." I shut the door from the outside and made my way to school.
Ian's POV:
Barley dropped me off at school, I got to the entrance when I saw my friends calling me over. One of them, Sadalia, said that there was going to be a new girl at school today.
"Cool, do we know where she's from, the other side of Mushroomton?" I asked.
"No, she's from out of town, but she seems nice enough, once she's here, I'll talk to her to see if she wants to hang out."
The bell rang, I said goodbye and went to class. I sat down at my desk with my staff by my side, I never leave without it, as I was writing notes, the headmaster of the school came into the class.
"Hello, everyone", they greeted, "as you may have heard, we have a new student here today", behind them was a....well, I don't know who, but she sat down at the empty desk next to me, I heard a few whispers in class.
"Who is she?"
"What is she?"
"She's definitely not an elf I can tell you that."
"I don't know, maybe she's part-elf."
The headmaster spoke once more, "Now, I hope you will all be respectful, have a nice day everyone." And with that they left, I looked over at the girl and smiled slightly. She looked confused for a moment, then smiled back.
I may not know who she is, but I hope we can be friends.
