Reader POV:

"So, what basics do we need to learn about magic?" I asked Ian.

"Well, since you're injured, we need to be careful with your leg. But, I could teach you about levitation." Ian had a grin on his face.

I picked up my new wand while Ian picked up his 'Quests of Yore' book.

"Now, repeat after me to make this stone levitate, 'aloft elevar', got it?"

"Ok", I took in a deep breath, remember Y/N, this is for your family, "aloft elevar!"

My eyes widened in shock as a blue light sprung from the end of my wand, hitting the stone, causing it to elevate slightly, I managed to lift it slightly before it felland crumbled as it hit the floor.

"Y/N! That's incredible, now, if you're ready, we can try a different spell, 'boombustia', ready?" Ian looked hopeful.

"Ready, set-"

"BOOMBUSTIA!" I yelled excitingly before Ian finished speaking, fireworks sprung from my wand. Damn, the spell lives up to its name. Some of the firework sparks futtered down, creating a beautiful display of light, floating around my face and body, lighting me up in a blue glow.

Ian's POV:

I was about to say 'go!' when all I heard was a boom and fireworks exploding from Y/N's wand. Then, all I saw was fluttering light floating down around her body, she looked...pretty in that light, all I saw were her glittering, glowing eyes in the light, her hair blowing in the wind, she was giggling as a spark landed on her nose and tickled her.

The dragon crawled itself up onto her shoulder and tried catching the sparks with its tongue and then licked her all over her face.

I felt a tint of heat in my cheek, causing me embarrassment, she looked straight at me and smiled sweetly at me, I felt butterflies in my stomach, multiplying like rabbits, ugh, why do I feel like this when I am around her?

Feelings mean no sense at all, are they telling me something?

No, of course not, remember Ian, just focus on helping her. Not falling for her.
