I woke up at 5:30 am like usual. I went to the bathroom took a quick shower and brushed my teeth I went to my dressing and chose my clothes for today.
I have an important meeting so I need a smart outfit. Mmm that one is good. I took one of my favourite suit and some brown classic shoes.

I went back to the bathroom did my hair and put some cologne.
I went downstairs and it's 6:00. I went to the garage for taking one of my car today I choose my corvette.

I start the car and pushing the accelerator so the engine groan. I closed my eyes and hold firmly the steering wheel in my hands.
I arrive at my usual coffee shop. That wasn't to far from the office. I enter the shop and saw a familiar face at a table Chris, my bestfirend.
"Hey stranger" I say taping his shoulder. "Hey Y/n ! It's been so long ! How are you ?" He says hugging me.
"Yeah too long. I'm fine thanks" I say pulling away. "We need to catch up. You have time ?" He asks and I nod "Yes I can take some time just let me order my coffee."
I went to the conter and order my coffee. "A latte maciato and a donut please" I say to the woman. I pay and go to sit with Chris.
"I want to know everything! Tell me what happened since the last time I saw you ?" He asks taking a sip of his coffee.
"Oh nothing interesting. Juste the usual stuff work and some times I hang out with fiends and.."
"Hook up with random girls" He cuts me off.
Yes but that's not new. And you tell me about Japan how was it ?"
"It was wonderful this country is amazing the technology, the food, the culture and..."
"The girls" I finish for him. At that time the waiter places my coffee and donut on the table. "Thank you"
"Yes but I was actually going to say the landscape" He says after the waiter is gone "Oow so you didn't met hot girls during you six month trip ?" I say smirking and taking a sip of my coffee and looking at him in the eyes.
"Yes I did Japanese girls are really beautiful but I prefer American" "So no girl in view" he shook is head no.
He look at his watch and got up. "I'm sorry I got to go it was nice to see you again we need to hang out together during the week tell me when you're free" He say hugging me goodbye "Same and of course we will hang out" I hug him back and he went out of the coffee shop.
I sat back and took my phone out of my pocket. I saw it was 7:30. I drank my coffee and ate my donut when I finish I went out of the coffee shop and go to my car. I sart to head to the office.
I arrive ten minute later and when I m in the main lobby I wave to Darcy and Jane the two receptionist.
I went to the elevator pressing the top floor's button. I wait humming at the jazz music that was playing. When I finally reach the floor. The doors are barely open that I'm stormed by Angelina.
"Miss Downey your father is waiting for you in the meeting room" she says handing me some paper work. "But it hadn't any meeting planned this morning" I say confused.
"I know he told me to told me to tell you when you arrive and he told me to he needed to talk to you about something important that couldn't wait" she says so fast yaht she was panting when she finished.
"Okay thank you" I say calmy looking at the files she'd just handed me "Can you go to my office and grab a file please it's on my desk" She nodded and when she turn around to go to my office I made my way to the meeting room where my father was waiting for me.
I was a little worried it wasn't in his habit to do that. Was it a problem personal or professional I mean I do my job good and there's no problem in the family so why is he bringing a meeting so suddenly and just with me.
There is definitely something wrong.
I came in the meeting and saw my father looking at the large window. I cough a little making my presence know.
"Y/n. You're finally there, you're a bit late" He pause "Sit we lost enough of time" He says still looking at the window.
I sat on the chair waiting for him to sit too but at my surprise he didn't. He start to speak still looking at the widow avoiding eye contact.
"Y/n I hate what I'm doing but I don't have the choice. I'm worried and you didn't let me the choice so I'm doing that." He pauses.
"I'm getting old and I want to retire with your mother like I always promised her. And you would take the lead of the company but I'm worried Y/n." He takes a long breath.
"Y/n I know your able to take the lead but I'm worried for after. You keep sleeping around with those girls but you don't look like you want to settle down. I want the enterprise to stay in the family. You are my only child so if you don't have kids. A stranger would take the lead and I don't want that. So.."
He pauses again and look at me for the first time since I intered the room.
"So ?" I ask a little worried.
"So I have a friend George. He has the same problem with his daughter he only has her and she don't wants to the become the CEO of the enterprise and he don't want a stranger in his company too. And like you she doesn't want to settle down so we had the idea of a merge a merge for it to happen you will marry his daughter, Scarlett." He says looking down.
You never saw you father looks down before and by never you mean NEVER. You were shocked by what he said and by his behaviour.
"So with the wedding we would do a merge the two enterprise would become one with you at the head and your wedding with you future children would assure the that the company will stay in the two family"
You nod "is it an idea or is it already an agreement ?" You ask already knowing the answer.
"The arrangement is already done. I was informing you." He say finally looking up.
"So if I understand or I'm getting maried with that woman or ? "
"Or you will never be the boss of Downey's Industries"
"So I don't have the choice" I said looking at him right in the eyes.
"Not really." He begins to walk out of the room. "For information the meeting of this afternoon is M. Johasson, George we're gonna agreed to the terms of the contract. Scarlett would probably be there. You will be there to and that's not a question."
I nod still a little shocked by the news. I'm getting married with a woman that I never met that I will probably never love and who will never loves me either.
I don't even have the choice and that's what I don't like if he had asked me I would have probly said yes because I would do anything for my family. But he forced me and I don't like that.
