Falling for the Hot Head (Bakugou x OC)

The Visit

The next day my dad let me know I could visit my biological father that very day. I agreed to do it that day and got ready to leave. 

My dad drove me to the hospital and walked me inside. My dad checked in at the front desk as I sat down and waited. My dad sat down next to me once he checked me in. 

"Are you nervous?" I heard my dad ask. 

"Yeah a little." I played with my hands as I looked down at them. 

"It'll be fine. I'm sure he'll be ok." my dad said trying to reassure me. 

"Kireina Aisaka, right this way please." A nurse called out. I got up and followed the nurse in to a room. I walked in and saw my bio logical dad laying down with IVs in his arms. I could feel myself start to tear up. 

"Sweetie is that you?" My dad asked. 

"Yes, it's me." I said trying to keep it together. I sat down in a chair next to his bed. 

"I'll leave you two alone." the nurse said as she walked out of the room. Once the door closed, tears started falling down my face. 

"Why are you crying?" he asked concerned. 

"I just feel so selfish not wanting to listen to mom and talk to you guys again. I didn't even hear her out to see what she wanted and now you're in the hospital. I just feel like I could've been a better daughter by not being so selfish. I only cared about myself, I'm so sorry." I cried out. 

"Kireina look at me, it's not your fault that I have cancer. I don't blame you for not wanting to talk to us after we abandoned you. But don't blame yourself for this." My dad placed his hand on my shoulder to make me feel better. 

"Why did you guys really leave me?" I asked. My dad moved his hand from my shoulder and let out a sigh. 

"We left you because we were in debt. We had no money to raise you so we had to give you up. It was a hard choice but it was best for you. Months later we got accepted into a hero agency and we quickly became pros. We were pros before, but the agency we were working for, it was attacked by a group of villains.  After earning enough money and finding out you were attending at U.A, your mother decided to try and write you letters to get in touch and that's also when I found out I had cancer. I had to retire and your mother retired so she could spend more time with me. So that's why we left you." he explained. 

I looked down at my lap feeling stupid. I always thought they were in the wrong, but no I was. 

"I'm sorry for not writing back to mom. I'm sorry I didn't think you guys were good people." I apologized. 

I heard my dad chuckle. 

"No need to apologize." There was a pause and then he spoke again. "You know, we actually saw you fight at the sports festival. We went there because we'd always had. Then we both saw you walk up on stage and we were so proud you made it to the best hero school in Japan. We both saw you fight, we saw how strong and skilled you were and we couldn't help but smile. I also noticed how determined you were and if you ever got knocked down, you always got back up. That reminded me of your mother. She was the most independent, perseverant, strongest woman I've ever met." he said smiling to himself. 

I smiled back. 

"Where is she?" I asked. 

"She's probably looking for a job she can work part time to still pay for my chemo, as well as being able to have time to see me" he responded. 

About 30 more minutes went by and we talked a lot. I talked about how I was dating Bakugou. I also talked to him about camp and the school festival. He talked to me about things that happened during his time as a pro. It was really interesting to hear about things about my dad and to get to know him more. 

After I left, I went back to the dorms and talked about what happened that day with the girls. They were all happy that I decided to give my parents a second chance. I still needed to talk to my mom though. 

I was in the common area, talking with Mina when Todo came up to me. 

"Where were you?" he asked. 

"Oh I was at the hospital visiting my biological father." I answered. He sat down next to me. 

"How did it go?" 

"It went well. I got to find out why my parents really left me. They left me because they were in debt and couldn't afford to raise me. So that's why they put me up for adoption. I found a lot about my biological mother and father. I'm glad I decided to visit him" I said smiling. He smiled back. 

"I'm glad you had a good time." he said still smiling, now with a hint of blush on his cheeks. I looked over and noticed Mina looking at us with a soft smile on her face. I knew what she was thinking and felt myself blush at the thought. 

"Are you ok Aisaka? You look a bit red." Todo pointed out. I quickly looked back at him. 

"Oh no, I'm ok!" I lied. 

"Aisaka may I ask you something?" Todo asked. I felt my heart beat faster. 

"Sure? What is it?" I asked a little nervous. 

"Would you like to go ice skating next weekend?" 

I looked at him a little surprised that he was asking this. 

Is this a date?.. Holy shit this is probably a date!

"Yeah sure! That sounds fun, but I do have to warn you I'm not very good at ice skating." 

"That's alright. I could teach you." 

"Wow! Thanks Todo!" I said with smile. 

"You're welcome." 

I had a feeling that this was a date. Even if it was I don't mind, it could be a good way to get to know more about Todo. 

I have a feeling the boys told him to do this 

I though to myself.

After Todo left, Mina sat down next to me. 

"Girl! He just asked you out on a date! Isn't this exciting! You'll be dating the most handsome boy in school!" Mina said in a loud whisper. 

"Mina, I already told you I don't know if I like him." I replied. 

"Are you serious? You literally hang out all the time and you guys talk all the time! Plus you get flustered around him a lot! You also told me that you like the fact that Todoroki has been there for you when Bakugou was captured and when you two broke up! If that doesn't say you like him I don't know what does." Mina explained. 

I guess she was right. I do talk and hang out with him a lot, just like when I had a crush on Bakugou. I also do appreciate that he's there for me when I need him most, just like when Bakugou and I dated. He's like Bakugou but way more calm. Maybe I do like Todo.
