Instincts

*his stomach growls*

Keigo was 6 sluggishly walking throught the thick snow back to his dad's crumbling excuse for a house that he called home.

He uses his arms and wings to try and stop himself from shaking from the cold.

'I'm so hungry...' he looks around the street for any people that may be willing to give him some food, only to find no one, he shivers slightly with a huff 'maybe dad left some food for me today?...'

With that thought, stopping at an alleyway a flicker of red catches his attention.

Still shaking from the cold, for some unknown reason, curiosity perhaps, Keigo enters the alleyway.

Before him he sees a man that's crouched over a body, he sees some blood coating the white snow as he slowly makes his way over "e-excuse me? A-are they ok?" He asks sheepishly.

And then it hits him, the smell of iron.

*his stomach growls*

He silently curses himself for thinking about food in a moment like this when someone could need help.

The man stands and turns towards him showing a dog like snout and sharp teeth, a crazed look in his eyes as he wipes some stray blood from his muzzle.

keigo takes a step back trembling from something other than the cold.

*his stomach growls*

the man's dog like ears twitch in his direction at the sound.

"hey there kid" speaking in a soft, almost kind voice he turns fully to face the boy, with a slight smile he continues "you hungry?" He says with a look of curiosity.

Keigo takes another slight step back as he stears at the... what he now assumes is a corpse on the ground "i-i..." he looks back up to the man "w-what did you do?" He says struggling to control his trembling hands the man simply smiles "he was being a nuisance, and I was getting hungry" he says in an almost bored tone and a slight shrug before beckoning for the kid to come over.

keigo didn't know what possessed him to go over to the man, but he did.

*his stomach growls*

The man goes to places a hand on the boys shoulder only for him to flinch away from the touch, trying a different tactic he crouches on the ground slightly behind him looking at his meal "if your hungry..." he smiles and points towards the body.

Keigo visibility tenses at the idea but he can't help the saliva that forms in his mouth as the intoxicating smell of iron hits him stronger than ever "i-i can't do that... t-thats bad" he says timidly as he continues to tremble as he looks at the body, wrapping his wings tighter around himself.

The man hums as he watches the boy for a moment before smiling realising that the kid was seriously considering it.

he had to told back a chuckle

"I won't tell if you don't?"

The boy immediately turns to look at him eyes widen as he processes his words.

for a tense few seconds he considers the man's words "... r-really?..." he mumbles slightly.
witch only makes the man's smile widen before placing a hand on the boys shoulder, who again flinched slightly at the touch but soon melts into it "of course! You can trust me."

*his stomach growls*

Keigo nods slightly as he swallows the saliva in his mouth, he looks back to the body and takes a hesitant few steps forward before kneeling in front of it.
he looks back towards the man who simply smiles slightly with a nod, he looks back towards the body and sheepishly picks up a bit of loose flesh with shaky hands, he considers it for a long moment before shakily bringing it to his mouth.

He chows a few times slightly discussed with himself as he allowing the crimson liquid to hit the back of his throat.

His eyes wide and he brings his shaky hand to his mouth, it was good, REALLY good, his stomach growled louder almost begging for more, he removes his hand from his mouth and shakily places it on the bloody corpse before bringing his head down to take a bigger bite.

His bird like instincts to feed taking over as his stomach happily growls at him for more, and Keigo obliges.

The man's eyes widen as he watches in morbid curiosity as the timid boy lets go of whatever restraint was holding him back and brings his head down to the corpse and starts taking greedy bites of flesh from his meal.

he can't help the smile that forms on his face as he watches the boy for a good 3 minutes devour his meal before he decides to walks up to him and kneels down to his level.

"well done kid!" he waits a moment for the kid to lift his head and stop chowing "how was it?" As the kid looks to him with sharp animalistic eyes he can't help the smile that takes place on his face.

Keigo looks to the man as he swallows the last remaining blood from his mouth before speaking "good, it was really good!" He says in a almost happy voice before looking back to the corpse with a smile that quickly fades as his eyes widen.

And the realisation hits him like a train 'I! I just ate a person!?!' His breathing speeds up as he stumbles away from the body bringing a hand to his mouth, falling slightly into the thick snow before the man puts an arm on his shoulder to get his attention.

"hey kid, don't worry" he says with a sickeningly sweet voice that doesn't match the smile on his face

"I won't tell if you dont"
