It emerged from the ground and immediately got covered in sand, it quickly realized it dug into the desert! It couldn't survive in this harsh biome or make it out without suffering from skin damage, it was stuck. No good outcome. Only a bad outcome no matter what it does... is this the end for our little sapling friend? It realized, it needed to adapt. It rushed to a nearby river stream and drank from it. It consumed and conserved as much water so it could survive. Its little sapling on its head turned into a dead husk, The rock was covered in sand, the grass died out, and the dirt turned to sand.
The terroot decided it was time to rest and buried inside the sand for another day... after 10 hours of good rest it emerged from the sand and went to take a good look around its new home. It saw a cactus and decided to plant a cacti seed on it for its temporary sapling. But soon, it turned out that the desert wasn't an empty dried out place. It was a place that wasn't forgiving... A HAWCTUS SWOOPED DOWN AND PIERCED THE TERROOT MAKING A DENT IN THE SOIL! The terroot made a sound that sounded like a scream and dug down into the ground hiding. It could only hear its heartbeat and the hawctus screeching.
