Ever since that day at to the lady's shop, I haven't been there since.
I felt like there was just no chance I was going to get her to agree with me. There was no point anyways, I didn't want to argue.
It has now been 3 months since we discovered Harry, and things have kind of been awkward between us. Well, for me at least, but not for him since he probably doesn't know what it's like.
I had to tell him he couldn't kiss me, because we aren't in a relationship together. I had to explain to him what a relationship is and how it works. He understood, and hasn't kissed me since then.
"What does this do?" Harry asked as he picked up a bag of crisps from the shelves. We were shopping at a local corner shop near by to buy some drinks.
"It doesn't do anything, you eat it." I answer. I picked up a few bags just in case we were almost out.
"You eat it?" I nod and place the bags of crisps into the trolley.
He looks at it and shrugs, before putting it close to his mouth and began to bite it.
I immediately snatched it from him, and put it into the trolley.
"It tastes bad." He says, making a disgusted face.
"When I said you eat it, I meant you open the bag and eat the crips that are inside. You don't eat the bag." I clarified, shaking my head in annoyance.
He made a confused face. "Crisps?"
"They're snacks. Things you eat." I answered.
"Oh."
After we got everything we needed, we paid and then left.
"Oh, you're home! finally." Zayn mumbles in relief. He takes the bags from my hand, and places them on the countertop.
"Thanks." I said as I took off my jacket, and placed it on the coat rack.
We plopped down on the sofa and turned on the Telly.
"Where did Harry go?" Zayn suddenly asked, looking around.
"Must've went upstairs." I replied, and he nods, looking back at the Telly.
"Hey, what did that lady at the shop say by the way? about everything that's been happening?" Zayn asks.
"It was a waste of time. She kept saying that the sirens have nothing to do with it. I kept saying that they might, but she kept insisting that it's not them." I explained.
"Really? that sounds kind of suspicious to me." He admits.
I looked at him confused. "How so?"
"I mean, she kept telling you that it's not them, right?" I nod. "Well, that's suspicious. If someone constantly tries to tell you the opposite of something, even though you might be right, it means that they're hiding something."
"So she's hiding something? like what?"
He shrugs before saying, "I might know; but then again, it could be anything."
I think about it for a second. Could she be hiding something? if so, what?
"Mate, you can't be this clueless." He says, shaking his head.
"What do you mean?"
He sighs deeply and picks up his bottle of beer, taking a small gulp, before placing it back down on the table in front of us.
"You'll figure it out." He replies, getting up, and heads back upstairs.
I sat there confused, wondering what he meant.

"Does this look familiar to you?" I asked Harry. I was showing him a picture of what I assume is what siren mermaids look like.
"Siren." He answered.
"Have you by any chance seen one when you were in the water?" I asked curiously.
"Never."
"How come?"
"Extinct."
I gave him a confused look. "What?"
"They're extinct. These kinds at least. Sirens have evolved since then." He answers.
It took me a minute to process what he just said. They're extinct? sirens are extinct? I questioned in my head.
"Wait, so does that mean there aren't any at all now? they're gone?" I questioned, wanting to know more.
He shakes his head. "They're still here. Just different."
"Different as in-they look like the mermaids we see today?" He nods in reply.
"Woah." I say in disbelief. I have to search this information up later, it sounds interesting.
"Are you sure they're extinct? like, no other mermen or mermaids have seen them when in the water?" I really wanted to know more. Harry's the only one I can rely on now for information.
"No. Not since ages. Whatever that means." He answers.
"Ages mean time. Decades, centuries. It means that years and years have passed." He looks at me for a second. Then a minute.
I sighed, knowing he obviously doesn't know what I mean.
"Just Uhmm- forget it, never mind. I think I can research the rest. If there is even information about those kinds being extinct." I mumbled. I hoped so.
"Well, thanks I guess. Good night." I tell him, getting off his bed.
"Good night, Lou." He replied back.
I smile at the nickname, and leave his room, closing the door behind me.
Hope you liked this chapter!.xX❤️
For now, the chapters will have to be short. I've been going through a lot of stress lately, and it's been making it hard to start writing. I would take a few days to actually write. It used to be Mondays until Friday that I would normally write. I hope you guys can understand. I do try my best to update. A lot has just been going on in my life since my father passed.
