TOJI SLAMMED HIS PHONE ON THE COUCH,
tramped towards his bedroom, enraged by the messages he got from you. You keep on texting him that you'll be back soon. But because you were enjoying life to the fullest, it was now already dawn as soon as you arrived. With the amount of alcohol you drank consecutively, the thought of coming home vanished in your head. You were prosperous enough to have good friends to take you. Although they left you at the front door, knowing how scary your housemate that is. It's already been months since you started living with that guy.
The dropping temperature of the wind awakens your nerves. Too chilly that it was enough to make your breath condensate. You opened your eyelids. Boring your vision at the pale crescent moon glowing among the stars, it took a bit before you realized your location. A melodious chuckle left your mouth. Pressing your palms on the floor for assistance, you manage to heave your body, trembling. It felt as if you were on a one-sided earthquake. Despite that, you can still walk.
As you slide the door and stagger inwards, you weren't surprised to see the living room empty. The windows, too, weren't even secured. Hence it was the cause why there's a nip in the air. Although the sank was clear, you didn't have to worry about washing the dishes. You slip off your shoes, coat, and bag, mincing towards the last place where Toji could be. You tried to be tranquil and focus on your stability. He was susceptible to noises. You don't want to wake him up.
Leaning on the door, you glance over the fellow who was asleep, his faint snores filling the area. You traipse closer, not taking off your sight on his back. Perching on the space on the bed that he left on the side, it grew the lines on the ridge of your lips, wider, notwithstanding how strict he was for not allowing you to enter his room without his consent.
Scrutinizing his adorning features, from his eyes down to his scar wherein you had no idea where he got that from, your hands brushed his hair, blocking his face. Running it through the bridge of his nose, it ceases at his right cheek, stroking them with light touches. You pierced every detail in your memory over and over, not letting a single one pass your eyes. It was rare to get a glimpse of his brows relaxed. Since you didn't have that so-called proximity bond with each other, your way of communication was always fighting. Thus, he, too, was always frowning.
"Pretty..." you mumbled, rubbing his forehead up and down.
He annoys you, yes. His pride was unmeasurable. From the first time up to the present, he's that character. If this apartment wasn't that appealing and despite being the cheapest, you wouldn't force yourself to leave with a man with such behavior you can't stand. Still, you can't refuse that he was a very, very, much of an intriguing individual. Even if you hated him, you're aware of being swept by his prodigious charm.
"You are really so annoying," your croaky, tight voice reverberated, poking his cheeks with every word. He remained unvexed. "I can't believe I'm living with a guy like you."
