(Minsung's PoV)

"This Warden sure is bothersome," I commented while fighting the Vanagandr, the warden or ruler of the prison.

Without rest, Opinicus and I have been fighting for about a month, starting from the lowest-ranking mobs up to the warden itself. And we've been fighting the warden for at least a week now just for us to get out of the Prison.

"Well...he won't be called the Warden for nothing, though I'm pretty curious as to what is the god eater doing here," Opinicus said.

"God eater?" I asked.

"Yes. That one is famous for eating a god's hand aside from being a demi-god itself," Opinicus replied.

"God eater, huh. Hearing that just makes me more fired up," I commented. "By the way, you said that he's a demi-god, right?" I asked.

"Yes. He's a son of a god and a giantess if I'm not mistaken," Opinicus replied.

"Heol. In that case, he's not fully immortal so I'm certain that he's pretty tired now," I said while preparing my scythe.

"But he's not a mortal, either," Opinicus replied.

"And that's the reason why we are here. That is, to test which is which," I commented. "We'll put everything in this single attack so you better get ready, Opinicus."

"I'm always ready, you know," Opinicus replied.

(A few moments later...)

"Despite being a human, you sure do know how to put up a fight against a demi-god, huh?" the Vanagandr commented.

"Woah. You can speak human?" I asked.

"I've been alive for thousands of years so Yes, I can speak that," the Vanagandr replied. "Anyway, did that Gryphon take you here just to subjugate me?" he asked.

"Huh?! And why would I do that?" Opinicus snapped back.

"Why? Aren't you the loyal pet of the gods out there?" the Vanagandr asked back.

"Pet, huh. I think you're underestimating me too much, god eater," Opinicus commented. "Do you want another round? I won't be so forgiving this time."

"Oh...is that so?" the Vanagandr replied. "Do you want me to prove how feeble you really are?"

"Woah, chill. Will you please calm down, both of you?" I appealed to them. "Vanagandr, I somehow understand that you bear some grudge with the gods but, believe it or not, Opinicus just does anything that piques his interest."

"What do you mean by that, human?" the Vanagandr asked.

"Opinicus might have obeyed the gods' command in giving up this place just for him to become a confidant. However, he only did that because he's grown tired of this place," I explained.

"Heol...how come does a god's pet knows the concept behind the words 'fun' and 'boredom', huh?" the Vanagandr asked.

"It's because we all have feelings, you fool," Opinicus replied. "I just took the easiest way out of this boring place and it just happened that the gods gave me that opportunity. After all, I've been a warden here for ten thousand years, give or take. Who in his right mind wouldn't get bored of that?" he asked back.

The Vanagandr laughed. "Well...I can somehow understand your sentiment. You know, I've been bound for some time in a certain place right before I came here," he replied. "However, is following that human providing you the excitement you are looking for?" he asked after giving me a slight glance.
