SHE regained her consciousness nung nasa hospital na siya, it was not on her plan. Pero mukhang nag work, dahil kasama niya sa kwarto ang pulis. He stood up nung nakita niyang giving na siya.

"Can you tell me what happened to the scene of the crime?" Tanong nito sa babae at may hawak na ballpen at papel. "P-pauwi na sana ako nun nung may h-humawak sa akin ng mahigpit, I was scared kaya I tried to get out of his grasp. P-pero may dala pala siyang k-kutsilyo o kung ano man ang hawak niya at ngayon p-puno ako ng sugat." She explained to him what happened while fake crying and making her stutter on her words.

She looked at her wounds na ginawa niya, "the guy was shot, who shot him?" Tanong ulit nito, she sniffed at tinuyo ang luha niya. "I d-don't know, pero ang h-hula ko baka yung mga Shadow Protector ang nagbaril sa kanya." She again made her stutter in fear para mukhang takot talaga siya.

"What's your name, Ma'am?" Tanong nito, "Khayeen Madrigal." She told him her name, tumango tango ang police at ibinaba ang ballpen at papel.

Tiningnan niya ang pangalan ng police, 'Adler Sullivan'. She heard the surname Sullivan before pero hindi niya maalala kung saan niya ito narinig.

She pulled herself back into reality as she saw the police looking at her like he was investigating her, she put on a confused face. "You look familiar." That's the only thing he said

"We bumped each other the other day, before I got into this mess." I told him, tumango ito at umupo sa sofa. She pushed herself para umupo and she was about to get off bed nung tumayo si Adler at pinigilan siya.

"Are you sure you can walk?" Tanong nito sa kanya, tumango ito and tried to stand pero muntikan na ito umupo sa sahig, she was thinking did she wound herself too much that she can't even stand.

Tinulungan siya ni Adler umupo sa kama, "aren't you going back?" She asked him nung bumalik ito sa pagkakaupo. "I'll be watching over you." Yun lang ang sinabi niya.

She again looked at him confused, she don't need a babysitter. "Hindi ko naman na kailangan ng babysitter." Her words slips out of her mind at nasabi niya ito sa lalaki.

"I just need to make sure na you're safe, baka ikaw ang isunod nung sinasabing Shadow Protector." She let out a laugh inside her head, hindi sila ganun they won't kill any innocent person. They already signed a contract that if they accidentally killed someone who was innocent they would be executed.

Papatayin sila mismo ng nakakataas sa trabaho nila. Madali kay Khayeen na makita if that person is innocent or not, pero looking at the person in front of her. She can't read him, she don't know if he is good or not.

"I don't need protection, but if you are protecting me then why not?" She flirted with him, he chuckled at napa dekwatro. He then leaned on the sofa and spread his arms on the headrest of the sofa.

"I guess you are already good, nakakapaglandi ka na." That made her loose her smile, "bakit ang natamaan ba ng kutsilyo niya ay yung paglalandi ko?" She sarcastically asked

He looked at her shocked, hindi niya inakala na gaganun siya ng babae. No woman ever did that to him, kaya he was shock na marinig yung sa bunganga ng babae. It was like a different person.

"Can I go home?" Tanong nito, pero bago pa ito makasalita ay tinanggal niya ang nakatusok sa likod ng kamay niya at naglakad papunta sa pinto.

"Where are you going?" Tanong ng lalaki ng maka recover sa ginawa ng babae, lumingon ito at ngumiti sa nasa harap niya. "I'm going home."

Binuksan nito ang pinto at dumiretso kung saan siya magbabayad para sa pag stay niya sa hospital, nothing is free. She payed for her stay at lumabas na, she felt someone following her, "I forgot, wala pala akong sasakyan. Pakihatid naman ako sa bahay." Khayeen spoke nung naramdaman niyang huminto rin ito sa paglalakad

She heard him cleared his throat, she looked at her back. "You going to protect me or not?" She was showing her real attitude, tumango ang lalaki and showed her kung nasaan ang kotse nito.

Inaalala niya kung ano ang nasa loob ng files na binigay ni Nicole, she forgot if meron siyang background check dito. She shook her head dahil sumasakit ang ulo niya kakaalala kung may background check ba si Adler.

She hopped inside the car, the inside is pleasingly smell good. Mabango ang kotse niya, she put on her seatbelt. Inilagay niya ang address ng bahay niya sa GPS ng lalaki.

He started the engine and drove off to her address, ngayon alam na nito ang address ng bahay niya ay nagwowork na ang plano niya. Some time soon mapapamahal na niya ang lalaki, she just needs to be patient.

THE car stops in front of her house, bumaba siya at lumapit sa may gate bago lingonin ang lalaki. "Thank you for driving me home." Ngumiti lang ito sa lalaki at hindi na pinasalita at pumasok na ito.

She felt drained nung pumasok ito sa gate, she sighed. Mukhang nakakapagod rin pala ang pinapagawa ni Nicole. She ran to her front door and opened it, lumapit siya sa telepono na nasa may lamesa at tinawagan ang kaibigan.

Ilang ring lang ay sumagot ang kaibigan, "you are ruining my fun here, Aye." She groaned as she answered, "may background check ba na naganap mo sa ex mo?" Tanong nito

"Why would I background check him?" Tanong nito, Khayeen groaned as she heard her ask that. "I'm doing a favor for you, so I need background information on him."

"Just seduce him and let him fall for you, no need for background check up." She said at binaba ang tawag, she sighed heavily because of her friend.

She looked at her outfit na nasira dahil sa ginawa niya kanina, it's draining her so bad. She never knew na mas nakakapagod pala ito kesa sa trabaho niya.

Tumaas ito sa kwarto niya para makapagpahinga at magpalit narin ng damit, she remembered that she didn't act like she was hurting nung umalis siya sa hospital. She facepalmed herself.

Nagpalit siya ng damit at humiga sa kama, tutulog muna siya at parang pagod na pagod siya sa ginawa niya. She just hoped her plan will work.
