AFTER three years, Khayeen is better now. She resigned being a shadow protector because of what it did to her.

From time to time pumupunta siya sa psychiatrist that Aikros recommend, Aikros also resigned being a shadow protector kasi hindi naman daw talaga yun yung gusto niya.

He dropped the photographer dream he wanted noong bata pa siya kasi gusto niya malaman kung ano talaga trabaho ng papa niya, he tried being like his father.

Pero after almost working like that he wants to go back to his dream, which is photography. He enjoyed being a shadow protector for a while.

"Hey, uuwi ka ba sa bicol?" Tanong ni Khayeen sa kanya, they've been super close because of what happened three years ago.

"Bakit sasama ka nanaman ba kapag umuwi ako sa bicol?" Tanong niya pabalik kay Khayeen, "pwede rin, since walang pasok ng isang linggo."

Khayeen decided to study again, she want to put criminals in jail not kill them kaya she decided just to resign and study again. "No, hindi ako uuwi. Tinatamad ako mag drive pauwi sa bicol."

"Duda akong tinatamad ka mag drive pauwi sa bicol, may tinataguan ka siguro ano?" Pang-aasar niya kay Aikros, tumitig lang si Aikros na parang jinajudge niya ang babae.

"You know, I still like you." Aikros said and leaned on his car while looking at the horizon in front of them, they are currently near a cliff where they always hang out.

Khayeen looked at the sky, "and you know my answer is."

"That you aren't ready to fall again after what happened." She is better, but what happened after Adler betrayed her made her have trust issues with guys.

Aikros saw how Khayeen looked at the tattoo on her pinky finger, hindi na niya ito pinatanggal. It's like a reminder of Adler.

"I respect that you aren't ready to love again, I will wait for you until you can love again." Aikros grabbed Khayeen's hand and touched the tattooed pinky finger.

They heard a car pulled over right next to Aikros' car, binitawan ni Aikros ang kamay ni Khayeen, they looked over who pulled their car over. "Nicole, bakit andito ka?" Tanong ni Khayeen

"Ito yung hang out place namin niyang malanding yan." Sabay nguso kay Aikros, Khayeen looked at Aikros with confused face.

"He was my best friend long before we met, nag ka girlfriend lang itong lalaki na ito kaya he ditched me to be with that girl."

"Nicole Benitez, huwag kang gawa gawa ng storya." Pinaglakihan ni Aikros ng mata si Nicole. "Anong wag akong gawa gawa ng storya, eh totoo naman yun. Naalala ko pa yung ginawa mo kahit ang tagal na nun."

"Hindi mo man lang sinabi sa akin na friend pala kayo nito."

"Di ko na yan friend, pangit ka bonding. Iniwan ako para sa babae." Nicole rolled her eyes, while the two both laugh at Nicole.

Nicole looked at Khayeen fondly, "it's good to see you laughing and getting better." Nicole said, Aikros nodded and agreed to what Nicole said. "She's doing better."

"Dahil tinulungan niyo rin ako para bumalik sa dating ako." Khayeen looked at the sky and sigh with content in her heart.

Even though it's just a year since that happened she's getting better and recovering what she lost in the process of betrayal. Pero dahil sa mga kaibigan niya na tinulungan siya para maging masaya at iwan lahat ng nangyari noon.

She closed her eyes and leaned on Aikros' car, "it's great to have you as my friends."

She opened her eyes again and saw the sun setting, it was beautiful. "I'll just go there, you can catch up with each other." Khayeen teased the two and distance herself sa dalawa
