Dilluc's POV

Taiyo finally paid for all their drinks, rip his wallet, and gave me a smile and a wave as he said goodbye.

I watch him carry a drunk Venti and a tipsy Zhongli out the door. He sure is strong. I give a slightly worried look as I felt a single bead of sweat drip down from the side of my forehead. I hope he makes it home alive. 

The boy and the two drunks finally leave my sight and I close the door with a sigh.

Nimias' POV

I was walking down the streets of Mondstadt with Barbatos in my arms and Morax on my back. Thankfully, I was one of the more physically stronger Gods and they weren't too heavy, or this trip would've been impossible.

Dropping Barbatos off at the Knights of Favonius' Headquarters, I finally pick Morax up into my arms and start going to Liyue. 

It was quiet. I was left with my messy thoughts.

Isn't Barbatos supposed to be the protector of Mondstadt? None of us got any work done tonight...I'm blaming you and your drinking habits, Barbatos. I wonder what business Barbatos and Morax have here? Should I go mess with Baal? She's fun to play with. I wonder what job I should do next?

My thoughts were rudely interrupted by someone tapping my shoulder..or trying to tap my shoulder but it seems they miscalculated and tapped my arm instead.

Looking down I see Xiao. Oh, It's Morax's son- wait no.

"What are you doing with Mr. Zhongli?" Xiao said with a slightly threatening glare but wasn't nearly as hostile as he could be if he didn't already recognise me.

"Hello, Xiao! I'm taking Morax to the Wangshu inn. Do you wanna come with us?" I smile at him.

"Don't call Zhongli-sama that in public, idiot!" Xiao scolds me. oops.

We make it to the inn and I rent a room. placing Morax on the bed, I leave the room and am met, once again, with a glaring Xiao trying to be scary. He's like a little kitten or puppy trying to protect his master... "so cute<3".

"huh" "huh?" oops I said that out loud. "Nothing~" I walk past him and drag him to the bottom of the Wagshu inn. "hey! what are yo-" "do you want some almond tofu? I'll make it for you~" Xiao stared at me for a second before blushing in embarrassment and looking down in defeat. I'll take that as a yes.

I leave him at a table and head towards the kitchen. I work here sometimes for more mora so I know my way around.

After making a plate or two of both Almond tofu and Rice pudding, I came back and sat across from Xiao, giving him his two servings of Almond tofu.

"What were you doing with Mr. Zhongli?" Xiao finally asked again.

I sigh. "Mor-" he glares at me. "..um I mean, Zhongli went to Angel's Share in Mondstadt for some business with Venti. I just so happened to be there, and Venti just so happened to be dead drunk and passed out. This guy named Dilluc offered Zhongli a few glasses of some sort of alcohol, and then he passed out too. one thing lead to another and now we're here."

Xiao deadpanned at me as if I was dumb...I ignore him of course and started my second bowl of rice pudding.

"you...you didn't do anything to Mr. Zhongli...did you?" I nearly choked on my pudding and started coughing.

I looked up at him, blushing madly. "NO! No. I would never do something like that"

He looked away from me and also started to blush from embarrassment. Wait. why is he blushing? What are you thinking?! Morax come and get your child!

As if he heard my prayer, Morax tiredly walked down the stairs and stared at us.

I quickly got up from my seat, after finishing my pudding of course, and ran to hide behind Morax. "Rax, get your child. He's thinking weird pervy thoughts"

"wha-" "I'm not a child! And it's not like that!" Xiao retorted.

"Well, you're the one who suggested I- we- "

"Stop. Wait. What's going on?" Morax asked in confusion.

"I saw Mr. Taiyo carrying you and I was just worried that he might've done something to you, sir," Xiao spoke up first. 

I let go of the taller male, crossing my arms and turning away with a small 'hmph', not seeing why I'd need to explain myself.

"Ah. Sorry," He apologised, "I must have passed out. Thank you for bringing me all the way here from Mondstadt" He said.

I smiled, turning back to look at them. "no problem!"

We continued talking about random things, which is good because I'd rather forget about what happened a moment ago-

"So what were you guys yelling about earlier?" I spoke too soon.

"You know, that's not important right now," I said, trying to avoid the question. "...right, Xiao?" I looked at him and Xiao nodded vigorously.

And so, Xiao and I silently agreed to never talk about this ever again.
