Somewhere Out There

Chapter 1

Deena sighed as she got out of the bus from Shadyside to Camp Nightwing. She was holding her black back pack, looking around. "Boo!" One of her friends jumped onto her back.

Deena groaned as she turned around, "what the fuck!" She rolled her eyes. "Sorry" Simon giggled. "No you're not" Deena rolled her eyes. "You're right" the blonde gave her his goofy smile.

"Simon, seriously? Leave her alone" Kate said. "Fine" Simon groaned. "You okay?" Cindy asked the brunette. Deena nodded, "yeah, I just don't really want to be here, you know"

"You mean because of her?" Keira asked, nodding her head bathing Deena. Deena turned around and rolled her eyes, "yup, the most annoying person alive..Samantha Fraser" she said. "She's not that bad" Kate said.

Deena whipped her head around to look at Kate, "seriously? The way she treats me is just a no" she said. "She wouldn't treat you like that if you were nice to her" Kate simply stated. "She's a Sunnyvaler, Kate! All Sunnyvalers are assholes. They always have been and they always will be" she said.

"Alright, campers! Please gather around and we'll give you your cabin numbers and partners! Remember, four people each cabin!" One of the counselors, Joan, smiled with so much enthusiasm that it made Deena want to throw up. "Also, this year we've decided to switch it up a bit! Each cabin will have two Sunnyvalers and two Shadysiders!" She said, making everyone groan and complain.

"So, let's get started" Counselor Gerry said, holding onto his clipboard as he started reading the names and cabin numbers off. "Cabin 5, Cameron Lopez Sunnyvale, Carson Mendoza Sunnyvale, Simon Kalivoda Shadyside, and Kate Schmidt Shadyside" he said. "Good luck" Deena smirked at her friends. "Cabin 6, Samantha Fraser Sunnyvale, Junior Mendoza Sunnyvale, Ziggy Berman Shadyside, and Deena Johnson Shadyside" he said. "Oh hell no" Deena said. "And since we are short a Sunnyvaler, the last cabin will have 3 Shadysiders and one Sunnyvaler. Cabin 7, Adrianna Martinez Sunnyvale, Keira Hudson Shadyside, Cindy Berman Shadyside, and Alice Hart Shadyside"  he finished, "you will not be able to switch cabins, so don't even think about asking!"

"Alright, kiddos! You are dismissed, go find your cabins, unpack and please, don't kill each other" Joan smiled. "How do you feel?" Kate asked Deena. "Like throwing up" Deena rolled her eyes, "we'll see you guys later" she said before her and Ziggy went to their cabin. "I call top bunk" Ziggy said, putting her suitcase on top of the bunk. Deena sighed, "whatever" she mumbled, putting her bag onto the bottom bunk.

They hear the door open, "great" Deena groaned, already knowing who it is. "Ah, did you miss me, Johnson?" Sam smirked. "You wish" Deena said, turning around to face Sam. "You know you missed me" the blonde said. "In your dreams" Deena then said, "now will you excuse us? We have somewhere we need to be" she said before her and Ziggy walked out. "God she's annoying" Sam told her friend. "She's a Shadysider, Shadyside is trash" Junior said.
