These are the members of her (dysfunctional) family and a few friends from neighboring shrines and/or who were employed to protect or tend to Shion and her needs.
Shizue (Shion's grandmother):

A very difficult woman. Very insufferable. Quite unpleasant behind closed doors. Very suffocating when it comes to grooming the bride of the family patron God. Always blamed the deaths of Shion's parents as their own fault for not "following the way of their sacred laws." Even Shion knows that cannot be true, as her parents loved her before they perished.
Kikyo (Older sister):

Also a terrible woman to deal with. Quite jealous of her younger sister for being the betrothed of the family god. Barely acknowledges her sister, always either ignoring her or shooting her nasty looks whenever Shion tries to get her to open up to her. Also blames her for the death of their parents.
Cousin Rei and Kagome:

The two of them are as close as sisters with Shion, and seeing how unfair it is to keep Shion away from what the outside world has to offer, they try to help their cousin know what they see on a daily basis on the outside. They even went as far as to sneak a phone behind their grandmother's back so Shion can talk to them more regularly as their contact with her became rather limited as time went on.
They also tend to do a lot of "girl talks" with Shion. Such as talk about boys in the public schools they go to, clothes they want to get, friends they have, etc. Thus making Shion crave for the outside life that she us only allowed glimpses of.
