Olivniko! Get down here! NOW! Yelled Jiko the father of Olivniko. Olivniko sighed and lay in his bed staring at the roof. Another day of farm work, another day to do what I am told. Olivniko mumbled, he slowly sat up and got ready for the day he headed down the old oak stairs listening to them squeeze. There was his family sitting at the table for breakfast. Olivniko sat down with them with a grumpy look. Soo, everyone remembers their choice for today? Asked Jiko. YEP! Shouted my older brother Kimio Jiko looked at the rest of the faimliy. Ok, Himio? Linio? and Olivniko? Do you know what your doing? Yes we know what were doing dear. Himio said, placing a hand on Linio shoulder and smiled. Himio was our mother and Linio was my anyoying brat of a siters. Himio looked at Olivniko who was just playing with his food. Olivniko? Do you know what your doing? She asked, Olivniko grumbled. Yes I know! He mumbled. Don't use that tone with your mother! Jiko growled, Olivniko rolled his eyes. Do you want extra chores? Jiko warned, Olivniko grabbed his plate and stood up and disappeared into the kitchen. What are we going to do with him. Jiko sighed, Himio placed a hand on his. You know thing are not going well at school, his best friend just got diagnosed with cancer and you know he can't make friend easily. Himo said softly, Jiko nodded with a sigh. I know but it not like he ever talk to us about it we just heard it from the teacher. And he should know better then to act like that to you, me or even his siblings it disrespectful. Jiko said. Just give him time, he will come though in the end. You know he strong and smart he just need...time. Himio said and stood up grabbing everyone plates and headed to the kitchen she said nothing to Olivniko just dried the dishes while he washed them. After that was done it was time to do the farm chores.
Homio carried Linio to the garden and sat down and started to pick the weeds. While Kimio lead the cows into the field with Jiko. Olivniko started to stack the hay bales into the barn. He heard a rattling sound and turned looming in a corner where a rattlesnake was curled up a large one at that he smile and counted staking hay bails. Olivniko sighed and streatched he grabbed the chicken feed and headed to the pen. He sprinkled the feed around while keeping an eye on the rooster who loved charging everyone then he lifted his head from collecting eggs with shooting and curings. He set the basket down and slowly wander over to the barn where his mother, brother and sister were all rushing over. Jiko sat on the ground curings quietly. What happen!? Asked Hiomi as she knelt down. Stupid rattlesnake bite me! He mumbled, Olivniko seemed to smile watching his father in pain, he watched the rattlesnake slither away. He had spotted the snake earlier but didn't bother to say anything. Ok just stay calm and let get you to the hospital. Kimio, Olivniko stay with your sister and go inside. Himio said helping Jiko up and to the car. We headed inside and waited. D-do you think father will be alright? The small timid voice of Linio said. Ya...He strong and and he he been through worse. Kimio said as he gently rocked her and softly hummed, after a while she fell asleep so sweet and innocent Olivniko thought then there were lights in the drive way and we all turned our head to the door where Himio came in.
