"Some people want it all
But I don't want nothing at all
If it ain't you, baby"

If I Ain't Got You - Caravn, Valentin

**

Lisa was already walking her way home when her afternoon class was already dismissed. On typical days, she normally goes home together with Jennie and Jisoo but it's not a typical day. They're still not on talking terms with Jennie.

She should go home together with Jisoo but the latter had some student council duties so Lisa had to go home alone for the time being. It was still early but the orangish color of the sun as it sets in the west and the smell of afternoon air can be the proof that the day will end again. Lisa decided to go on top of the hill first before heading home. She placed her bag on the side as she settled herself to sit on the grass.

She let herself relax at the picturesque view of the sun as it sets on the horizon. It was a beautiful sight to see that made her leave a sigh. Today's the only time she forgot about the recent happenings.

About Jennie.

Lisa closes her eyes as she lets her mind forget for the meantime. She focuses on the sound of the city below, the sound the car makes, and even the faint sound of birds chirping somewhere near her. She was so focused on those sounds that she was startled when she heard a new sound.

"Lisa"

Lisa opens her eyes then turned her head to see who it is. But even if she didn't, she will always know who that voice belongs.

Jennie stands there and when she finally met eyes with Lisa, she didn't know what to do. As a result, an awkward smile was produced. That's not what Jennie intends but her body betrays her.

"Why are you standing there? Come here." Lisa tapped the space beside her. "How did you know I'm here?"

"It was you who showed this place to Jisoo and me right?" Jennie finally sat beside Lisa. She looked at the horizon. The rays of the reflecting in her face.

"Got a point there." Jennie looked at Lisa and the latter gave her a gentle smile.

"Do you have something to say?" Jennie didn't notice that she may have stared at her for too long. The colors of the day are slowly fading while the darkness continues to take over.

"When I first arrived here, I was filled with doubts and uncertainties. You know, I grew up in another country so I don't have much knowledge living in a completely different place. I'm worried I won't adjust well but my cousin helped me and then I also met you which made me feel like I'm at home after all." Jennie turned her gaze at Lisa and the latter was looking at her waiting for her to continue.

"What you and Jisoo heard is not entirely true. Kai is not that kind of guy." Jennie carefully looks at Lisa and when she saw Lisa not giving any reaction, she continued.

"I like someone and Kai happens to know it."

"Why are you telling it to me?"

"Because I wanted to ask you a question." Lisa was confused at first but she waited as Jennie takes her courage to say what she intended to say.

"What would you say if I told you I like you?" Her heart was pumping hard as she waited for Lisa's answer.

"Of course I like you too you're my bestfriend aside from Jisoo." Lisa cringes at her answer. Seriously? What is she even doing?

Jennie didn't expect what she heard. Well of course she didn't ask clearly.

"Lisa, I like you not as a friend but in a big, more than friends kind of way. Not in a platonic but more of a romantic sense. I don't want to be friends forever instead, I wanna be with you forever. I know it's too much to take in but please take your time and think of it okay? I can wait." She confesses in a fast rhythm.

"Jennie, don't forget to breathe." Lisa lets a small laugh.

Jennie has never been confused in her life, "Why are you laughing?" She just spilled an important speech about her feelings yet Lisa's just laughing.

"Lisa I'm being serious here," she says when the person in front of her isn't yet done in her own world.

Lisa's laughter died down. She stared into Jennie as she gave her this knowing smile.

"I overheard you a while ago," she confesses. "And that's where I got the idea."

"Kai is loud as hell," Jennie mumbles annoyingly planning to get back at Kai when she sees him.

"So you already thought about it even before I came here and told you?" Lisa nods.

"It's okay Lisa. I can manage myself, I'll move on easily. I'm Jennie Kim after all." Jennie rises from her seat to move away from the pain that will happen if she'll stay there longer when a hand grabbed her wrist.

"What are you talking about young lady? No one's moving on in this house." Lisa removes the dirt on her jeans when she stands, leveling the same height as Jennie.

She held both her shoulders as she uttered the words she had long wanted to say.

"Jennie, you won't move on. You won't move on easily because I'll make you fall harder than you did now and I'll make sure I'll be there to catch you."
