where'd all the time go??

I breathe heavily as i approach the real world as my eyes slowly flutter open, today's a new day, this is great!! I'm still sad about amelia but i truly have to give it my all today despite the way my breathing gets uncontrollable sometimes and i can't help how i feel it just comes to me in a wave of now bittersweet memories and all the damage i did. Anyways, I need to get ready, so that's what i do.

I slowly walk to the bathroom to brush my teeth and take a quick shower. I'm confident today and i honestly think i look good. I continue to get my lab coat on and start to head out the door before i get stopped by mark, "HEY UR GONNA FORGET UR BADGE, YOU CANT FORGET THAT YOU IDIOT HOW ARE YOU GONNA GET IN THE PLACE IF YOU DONT HAVE IT."

I get it swiftly handed to me by him and out the door i am softly laughing at his remark!! I have to walk to catch the bus though so i can't be too late, as soon as i arrive to grey sloan my heels gently tap on the pavement as i walk up to the coffee cart that i used to go to everyday.

I see amelia. Seeing her is like a breath of fresh air but also all so overwhelming, i can't help but admire the way her hair shapes her face as she's holding a cup of coffee talking to meredith and maggie. All the memories come back like a sea wave reaches the tide on the beach, fast but rough.

She glanced over at me acknowledging my presence but chooses to ignore me. After what seemed to be a lifetime, she approaches me. "Hey arizona!" The sound of her voice made my heart flutter with joy that i couldn't seem to hold back.

She looks at me a bit concerned which changes this feeling VERY quickly, "what are you smiling so hard about??" she giggles. "OH- UH NOTHING!! Also hey, i need to tell you i'm sorry for everything i've ever did to you, i mean it from the bottom of my heart. I take full responsibility and accountability for all the hurt i put you through." i say gulping fearing what she'll say next.

"you were an ass throughout our whole relationship and i'd rather not talk about it, not here, not now, not EVER." She said slightly through clenching her teeth. "I have to go arizona it was nice seeing you and i'm sorry to cut this conversation short but i just got paged and have a surgery that can't be missed!!"

"okay bye for now??" I say with a wide smile almost taunting amelia, "mmm maybe, maybe not!" she shrugs back at me while walking ever so swiftly away. Wow my first interaction with her wasnt so bad after all, i think we're gonna be okay or maybe we won't be....
