Rebekah and Maeve are with the cheerleading squad at practice, doing a series of gymnastic moves, when Elena walks up to them, they both look at her "you, goody" "I was hoping we could talk" Maeve rolls her eyes "about what? Stefan? don't worry, I'm off him until he starts treating me better, in fact, you should probably take a page out of my book if I'm being honest"
Elena smiles annoyed "actually, I'd rather talk about this" she holds up a photo of Rebekah's name written in Runic on the cave wall and shows it to them "I'm curious why you and Klaus have spent a thousand years running from your father"
Rebekah looks at Maeve nervously "we should get back to the girls, homecoming's right around the corner" she turns to leave "well then, maybe I'll ask Mikael when we wake him" Rebekah and Maeve stop and turn around "you're bluffing! you don't know where he is no one does" Elena smirks "so, then who's rotting in that old cemetery in Charlotte?" Maeve looks at Rebekah and sees that she's scared so Maeve speaks up "if you wake Mikael, we are all doomed!" Elena looks at them both "then, tell me"
Rebekah rolls her eyes "why do you want to know?" "why don't you want me to wake him" Rebekah looks at Elena "I need to get back to the girls" Rebekah turns and walks back towards the squad, shaken by what she's heard. Maeve stays back and looks at Elena "back off" she catches up to Rebekah
(ancient times)
Rebekah sees her brothers Niklaus and Elijah several yards away "come on Henrik, our brothers are fighting again!" Klaus and Elijah are sword fighting, Rebekah and Henrik run towards them to watch. Elijah looks at Klaus "our sister has arrived to watch my victory" Klaus smirks at Elijah "on the contrary, Elijah" Klaus swings the sword and cuts Elijah's belt off his waist "she has come to laugh at you"
Esther and Mikael approach their children as the children are laughing together, Esther looks at Mikael "relax, Niklaus means well" Mikael doesn't care "that's precisely my problem" he approaches the boys, everyone stops laughing, Mikael takes Elijah's sword and turns to Klaus "why don't you teach me that trick, young warrior?" Mikael begins to swordfight with Klaus
Klaus surprisingly dodges Mikael's sword and speaks "father, we're just having fun" Mikael continues to swing his sword at Klaus and screams "we fight for our survival, and your having fun?! I want to have fun! Teach me"
"Father, it was nothing..." Mikael disarms him without effort and slams Klaus on his back on the ground. Mikael sets the sword at Klaus's throat "you are foolish and impulsive, boy! what no more laughter?" Esther looks at Mikael sternly "you made your point!" Mikael stabs the sword into the ground and it sticks right next to Klaus's head "it's a miracle you're still alive, boy" Mikael leaves
