Countdown: 30 Days Till Christmas

Thalia Grace

"M'lady," I bowed at Artimis' feet.

"Yes, Lutendant?" I could hear her questioning the formality.

"I was hoping I could travel to Percy Jackson's residence in New York for the Christmas holiday." I glanced slightly up at her searching for a reaction. Her face was blank.

"What of your sisters?" She asked. I had thought of it. I would be leaving them. But I needed to go.

"I regret leaving them but I must go." I apologized.

"So what we're not invited to you stupid special people party hosted by the one and only Percy Jackson" one of my hunters asked sarcastically.

"Well two things, it's hosted by the mortal goddess Sally Jackson, her son just happens to be there," I spoke dramatically defending Sally "and I just thought you guys wouldn't want to go-"

"Non sense." Another hunter spoke.

"Bitch we want to meet this mortal goddess."

"Ok then..." I looked back towards Artemis "may we all go m'lady?"

We all looked towards her with puppy dog eyes and pouty lips.

"Gods," Artemis rolled her eyes "you people are pieces of work. Have fun, and say hi to Sally for me." She waved us off and when I turned to look back she was gone.

"Ok we leave in the morning." I couldn't stop the smile forming on my face. I'd never had a real Christmas but Percy talked about it like it was the best thing in the world.

*The next morning*

"Are we all ready?" I asked the hunters. They were trying to hide it but I could see how excited they were. We had christmas' where ever we were at when the day rolled around but it wasn't the same as others some of them have had.

We grabbed our compact camp gear and headed towards New York. We weren't far, in DC but it still took us nearly three days.

The excitment kept building and building as we got closer to his apartment.

"This is the building... I think." I looked up, unsure.

"You sound sooo confident, Lutandent." One of my hunters glanced at me unsure.

"Well they all look the same." I looked around at the identical buildings. In one of the building windows I noticed a roughly sprawled sign. I could tell from here that it was either Percy or his kid sister that had crafted it. Either way I knew which building to go to. "This one."
