Chapter 1

*Heres chapter 1! Hope you like it! I'm sorry if some of the lines and scenes are messed up, I'm not the best at remembering things. :/*

~This chapter is dedicated to @stupidnoobface. She has been my fan from the beginning, and I know she liked my story before it got deleted and I had to restart it. :)~

Veronica's P.O.V.

"How does it look?" Pepper asked Tony through the cell phone.

"It looks like Christmas, but with a little more, me." He said and I could tell he was smirking.

"You know Tony. Stark is my last name too." I said as a matter of fact.

"Mr. Stark, Phil Coulsen is on the line." I heard J.A.R.V.I.S. say.

"Tell him to leave a message. I'm not in, I'm actually out." Tony said and I heard him land on the platform outside the building.

Tony walked in the door and looked at the computer next to Pepper, they really were a cute couple.

"Levels are holding steady, I think." Pepper said biting her lip.

"Of course they are, I built it." He said and pepper glared.

"And with sweaty workman." He said, "Ok, this is your baby, give yourself, 12 percent of the credit." He continued.

"12 percent? On my baby?" Pepper said pouring her and Tony a glass of wine.

"Why can't I have 12 percent too? The tower has my name on it!" I said hanging upside down on the chair.

"You can have 2.5 percent of the credit." Tony said and I glared at him. Tony's phone rang and I seen the caller I.D. Phil Coulsen.

"You have reached the life model decoy of Tony Stark, please leave a message." Tony said. I tried so hard to not laugh.

"It's urgent." Phil said through the phone.

"Then leave it urgently." Tony responded.

"Sir my system is being overridden." J.A.R.V.I.S. said as the elevator doors open and Phil stepped in.

"Security breach." Tony said.

"Ah, Phil. How are you?" Pepper said walking over to him.

"His first name is agent." Tony said following after Pepper.

"We need you to take a look at this." Phil said holding out a box to Tony.

"Ill take that." I said taking the box before Tony could say how he hates being handed things. I took the wine out of Tony's hand and handed him the box, he will only take things from me and Pepper.

"Is this about the avengers?" Pepper asked then added, "Which I know nothing about." I rolled my eyes at her.

"I thought I didn't qualify." Tony setting down the computer onto the table.

"I didn't know that." Pepper said taking a sip of her wine.

"I though I was volatile, self obsessed, don't play well with others." Tony said.

"That I did know." I said smiling, trying not to laugh at Tony. Me and Pepper walked up to Tony.

"It must be important, Phil looks pretty shaken." Pepper said glancing at Phil.

"Why is he Phil? And it's all this." Tony said flicking his hands to the top of the screen making the imagines appear on the walls. I recognised these people.

"You have a lot of homework Tony." I said amazed by the videos and pictures surrounding me.

"Yes you do, I'll take the jet to D.C. tonight." Pepper said, "And Ronnie, your coming with me." She added.

"No, she can stay with me." Tony said, "She'll be fine I promise." Tony added when Pepper gave him an uneasy look.

"Ya, it will be brother sister bonding time." I said putting my arm around Tony's shoulder.

"Ok, fine. But be careful Veronica." Pepper warned me.

"I'll be fine." I said giving her a hug as she went to pack her bags and get ready to leave.

"Why did you want me to stay?" I asked Tony, hopping up on the counter next to him.

"I feel like I haven't been spending enough time with you. I am your legal guardian Veronica." Tony said.

"You WERE my legal guardian, before I was 18, now I'm 22. I can take care of myself." I said.

Tony sighed, "I know you can, but when dad died, and ever since, I feel like I have to stay by your side and protect you." Tony said.

"Awww, I didn't know you were such a softie." I said hugging him.

"I love you Tony, as much as a sister can love a brother. Thank you." I said into his shoulder.

"Thank me for what?" He asked hugging me back.

"For everything." I said.

"I love you too Ronnie, as much as a brother can love a sister." Tony said pulling away from the hug.

"Aww you guys are adorable." Pepper said coming into the room. I laughed at Tony's face, he looked so embarrassed.

"Go kiss her before she leaves." I whispered to Tony. He smiled at me and walked over to Pepper.

I turned my attention back to the videos and pictures on the computer. Picking it up and setting it on my lap, I scrolled through everything, reading all the articles. Dr. Bruce Banner, a scientist studying Gamma radiation. Clint Barton, a very talented archer. Natasha Romanoff, a skilled spy and assassin. Loki, the man who stole the tesseract that S.H.I.E.L.D. was trying to find. And finally Captain Steve Rogers, a super soldier. Was buried in ice for 70 years and was found by the famous Howard Stark along with the tesseract. Hm, that's the guy dad always used to talk about. He was very handsome, and seemed really nice. I have already meet Natasha and Clint. Natasha was like my best friend.

"Bye Pepper!" Tony yelled as the elevator door shut.

"Did you kiss her?" I asked not taking my eyes off the screen.

"Maybe." He said smiling at me.

"Good." I said setting the computer down.

~A few hours later~

"Veronica, Natasha is coming to pick you up tonight. She should be here in about 20 minutes." Tony said.

"Ok. Are you coming?" I asked.

"No, I'll come tomorrow." He said.

Tony left the room and I started packing. I packed my black and white polka dot suitcase and grabbed my makeup bag.

"How's my best friend been?" I heard a voice ask from behind me.

"Natasha!" I yelled running over to her and giving her a hug, "I've missed you!"

"Its been like years." She said, "Come on grab your stuff, we have to go." She said. I picked up my suitcase and we headed out to the jet.

"Bye Tony, I'll see you tomorrow." I said.

"Bye Ronnie, don't do anything stupid while I'm gone!" He said.

"I wont!" I yelled walking out the front door and getting onto the jet.

This has been a long day.
