"Hey" he looks up at me before standing up "Najah?" He says "if you didn't wanna come talk you could have at least texted back" I say "it's not that, it's just Payton wanted me to come to the mall with her" he tells me "oh okay" I nod
"Are we gonna talk today" I ask and he nods "I want to" he says "I been calling you for days" he says "well I didn't wanna talk to you after what you did" I say "understandable" he bites his lips "you wanna come over today and talk or what" I ask
"Yeah that works" he answers "how long you been here for" I ask "hours Najah" he says and I giggle
"She always says it won't take long but it's take long" I whines "tell her you wanna go" I say "I did" he said "I can't just leave her tho" he says "yeah that wouldn't be nice" I smile "call me when you are done" I tell him "and whenever you're coming over" I add "I will" he smiles "I love you" I say
"I love you too" he says back before I turn around and walk back to Angelina "so?" She ask "he'll come to my house later , so we can talk" I tell her "that's good" she says "yeah , it is" I agree "anyways I'm ready to go" I tell her "same , they say shop till you drop and I'm about to drop" she says and i laugh "I feel you"

I watch the two of them walk out the mall before Payton comes out "who was that" she ask "no one" I tell her "now you're lying to me" she says "I know that was Najah" she adds "then why did you ask" I question "I wanted to see if you'd tell the truth" she crosses her arm "and you didn't" she says "because you overreact Payton"
She shakes her head "maybe because she's a sneaky bitch" she says "don't call her that" I demand "you better not be cheating on me" she says "I'm not Payton , what the hell" I ask "can we go , you ruined my mood" she says
"Payton listen I'm sorry okay? I just don't want you to overreact and get worked up about this , when you have nothing to worry about" I grab her hands "I hope so Edwin" she mumbles "I love you" I say to her "I love you too" she kisses my lips before smiling "wanna go back to my place" she ask
I'm supposed to go see Najah. "Yeah sure , just for bit tho , I wanna get back home and finish some music stuff up" I just make up something "that's fine , I'm pretty tired anyways" she says "well let's get going" we walk to the exit hand in hand.
We get to her car. "Will you drive please" she ask me "yeah I got you" he throws me the keys and we get in the car. I start the car "thank you"

My phone starts ringing
"Edwin🦋 is calling......."
I answer "hello" I say "hey I'll be there in 10" he says "sounds goods" I say "okay, I'll see you soon" he hangs up and I sit on my bed to just wait for Edwin to get here. I pull my drawing notebook out and start just drawing something random.
He text me and I look at it

I hear my front door open downstairs
"Najah" he calls out "my room" I say. A couple seconds later he walks in "hi Edwin" I say "hey" he closes the door before falling back onto my bed "I hate shopping with her" he says "oh be nice" I giggle at him "I love her but hate when she takes me shopping" he tells me
He scoots up next to me and looks at my drawing
"What chu working on" he ask "whatever this is gonna be" I look at it "looks like a girl in the ocean" he says "oh is it a mermaid" he ask and I smile "no just some girl" I tell him "looks great" he says and I set the notebook down and turn to him
"Yeah the talk" he says "i apologize Najah" he says "I'm really really sorry" he apologizes "I'm sorry for going through your stuff and being a jerk" he puts his hand on my inner thigh and I take a deep breath but I say nothing. "Please forgive me" he looks at me and our eye connect.
"Why were you such a jerk" I ask and he looks away "I don't know" he mumbles "tell me the truth Edwin" I say "I talk to a guy , so what?" I question "it's nothing and I don't know why I acted like that" he says "are you lying" I ask "fuck, yes I am but it's really nothing" he says and I tilt my head
"Why can't you tell me" I ask him "I can't" he says "but I'm your best friend, we tell each other everything" I say "remember you didn't tell me what was wrong not to long ago" he brings that up "fine but I'm only letting this one slide" I tell him "deal" he chuckles. "But question"
I look at him before he starts talking again "who is he? Like seriously" he ask me "a guy I been talking to for a couple months" I say "boyfriend?" He questions "no Edwin" I shake my head "like him?" He ask "why are you asking all these questions" I ask "I just wanna know"
I sigh "like I said just a guy I been talking to for some months" I say again and he nods slowly "do you not like it or something" I ask "you don't see me questioning your every move with Payton" I add "Najah I just wanna make sure you are making right decisions" he says "right decisions?
He's saying anything right now "it's not like I'm doing something bad , I'm single and so is he, if I wanted to do anything with him , I'm allowed" I say "why is this such a big deal" I ask and he looks me up and down multiple times. I watch swipe his tongue across his upper lip "Well?" I ask
"Cause I don't like it" I whispers "don't like what?" I question "me with Jackson?" I asked "you with anyone" he says and I tilt my head in confusion "understand what I'm telling you Najah"
