"You won't do shit, pussy. I'll knock ya head off ya shoulders, ya heard?"
"I'm high as fuck... Yo, why do my fingers look like that?"
"Fuck ya life." (bing bong)
"I can't do this shit anymore."

Name: Brennan Nerezza

Age: 18

Brennan looks like and acts like a rebellious teenager, always having this look about him that spells trouble. He's a good-looking guy, with messy black hair that he refuses to cut, eyes somewhere in between white and hazel, a little on the leaner side since he likes to take his feelings out through exercise and also because of his job, and as a result, he's a lot stronger-looking than you'd think under the hoodie. He wears a mask with a zipper on it- thank God COVID introduced this fashion trend- a tan hoodie with a logo he doesn't quite understand or care about, black sweats, breaking school dress code of course, and white hi-tops. His ears are pierced and he occasionally wears black diamond earrings, but tends to get kicked out a lot for them, so he usually leaves them at home.

Personality: Brennan can give off multiple vibes, so let's run through those first. It depends on who he's with, but the best ways he's been described is rebellious, witty, and sometimes miserable. He's not exactly popular, but the friends he does have are the type to skip school and go smoke, and he tends to mirror that personality to have a group that supports him and makes his life tolerable. He doesn't want to smoke a whole lot and doesn't even do it for fun, but he finds it very uplifting and helps him block out everything going on in his life. When you do manage to find him in school, however, he's usually goofing off with his friends in the back of the class, not paying attention, sleeping, or getting dragged out of the class to ISS or the counselor's office. Nobody knows why he goes, and he never talks about it, but it seems like he gets special treatment from the teachers for some reason. He also loves to talk shit- playfully, thank god- and crack jokes, mostly for the sake of making other people laugh. He has a touch of Italian blood in him and does a great impression of someone from the Bronx, with a lot of "aye, oh, whoa" and "aye, I'm walking over here" type of jokes being made by him. However, once the day's over and he's home he tends to just stay in his room and stare at the wall, every day seeming harder and harder than the last. In reality, he's miserable, but you'd never guess that by how he acted. He usually smokes to get by the rest of the day, or if that's not an option for him, he has a punching bag that he decks for stress relief in his backyard. He's not very organized but can box a bit, although untrained and very amateur, and occasionally competes in local rings for the prize money. He does work on the occasion in construction with his father on weekends, but because it's their only chance to bond. His father's never home during the week.

Occupation: Brennan is somewhat of an amateur boxer and sort of a jack of all trades in the construction department... Also a senior in high school.

Family/Friends: His mother, who died when he was around 10, was named Johanna. His father, who is alive and works in construction, is named Antonio. They call him Tony for short, and he's where he got his Italian blood from. He's a great man but as depressed as Brennan is for the same reason. He has a few friends in school, but all of them cause trouble and overall aren't great people.

Talents: Like stated before; he's an amateur boxer and a great artist. However, that talent comes from painting houses as a construction worker. Regardless, give him a canvas and he can paint something beautiful. He also rolls beautiful joints, as irrelevant as that might be. As far as he was concerned, weed was an art as well.

Dislikes: Being reminded of his mother, his childhood friend, most of his teachers and classmates, being forced to stay in school, and his home.

Likes: His father, boxing, work, painting, cracking jokes, popularity, reminiscing, rap, and weed.

Backstory: Brennan grew up for the first few years of his life as a normal second generation immigrant. His mother immigrated from Cuba and his father from Italy, which was quite the strange couple. He was bilingual from a young age and could speak both English and Spanish, but never exactly spoke Spanish perfectly and retained an American accent. His mother became very sick with breast cancer when he was young. He was maybe 8 or 9, and her health rapidly declined over time. He never spoke a word about it- not even to his childhood friend, who he relied on for support- and when she passed after a hard battle with cancer, he was devastated. Regardless, even though he was only ten years old, he still toughed it out and just swallowed his feelings. However, his father began to take out his own feelings on him. Antonio would smack around Brennan, even if he hadn't done anything. He became a raging alcoholic, and the next few years of Brennan's life left him scarred forever. He grew up fearing his father, and felt as if he had nobody. His only childhood friend, whose name he could barely remember, even abandoned him when he needed them most. Once his father was smacking him around, he became an emotional wreck. He was maybe twelve at the time, and even his best friend left him alone, since they weren't sure how exactly to help him. He's always held a grudge against them since then, and swore that if he ever saw them again, he'd beat the fuck out of them just like they deserved. He eventually turned to the wrong crowd in high school and began smoking and skipping school, which actually helped him cope some. He also talked a lot of shit in class, but once the principal got involved and Brennan came clean with why he acted the way he did, he was referred to the counselor and given special privileges. The teachers felt bad and went easy on him, letting him get away with things no normal person would get away with. He and his father eventually awkwardly made up, and his father suggested finding an outlet for his emotions. Antonio bought him a punching bag, and over the next two years, Brennan began to take out his frustrations on it, accidentally teaching himself boxing techniques and learning how to fight. His father eventually suggested boxing, and he agreed. He became an amateur boxer and was actually successful thanks to good speed and footwork, winning some decent cash in the ring. He also began working in construction with his father to make himself some pocket change. However, he still smoked and drank, and nothing would change that. It was his guaranteed way out. He eventually became a senior, but was still miserable. It had gotten to the point where he was barely hanging on to life by a thread. His father had been returning to his old self and life was just getting worse and worse. Things weren't looking good...
