"I say we use ole pretty boy over here as bait." Santana pointed to Lucas.
"We already know boss man gon come looking for us because we still have his drugs—so how bout we offer up some ass, in exchange for our freedom." He finished, looking proud with his plan.
All we could do was just stare blankly at him with disbelief.
"We not offering anyone's ass, Santana, how—how bout you shut the hell up, nobody wants your two sense. This shit is serious, our lives are on the line." Dre responded, his voice seeping with seriousness.
Santana mean mugged and lifted up his hand as if he was about to backhand him.
"Bitch I could just knock the sonic rings out yo noggin right now, you lucky I like yo ole evil ass." He sneered.
We ain't gon ever get shit done fucking around with these him.
"I don't understand why you guys wanna keep the drugs anyway—wouldn't that just give "boss man" even more reasons to come look for y'all. Just give the man his drugs and go y'all separate ways." Lucas says, looking to me for my approval.
I shake my head in response.
"Baby it's not that easy, it's deeper than that. It's not just about us having his product, we have his money too. If we go to drop off one but not the other, we're going to have issues either way." I explain as clearly as possible.
He nods understandingly.
"And we need that money, that's our getaway money. We can't just show up to the trap and drop off the drugs then flee—we've already been dodging him, so they gon kill us as soon as they get the chance, we're stuck with the drugs by default." Dre finishes for me.
He always understands the assignment.
"So then kill him." Lucas offers, as if it's just the simplest thing in the world.
It's not though, it's never is.
"Trust, we've definitely thought about it—but it's never that easy bro. We can't just walk up in his place of work, guns a blazing, and expect to walk out unscathed. Like I said, they're going to kill us the first chance we get." Dre explains once more.
Lucas looks all but defeated.
"I agree with Lucas, I mean we killed Brax—so what's the difference between that and killing boss man. That nigga not immortal, he can't dodge a This banana clip forever—this ain't the matrix and my aim too good." Santana buds in again, when no one was talking to him.
Lucas looks from him to me with wide eyes.
Oh shit.
"Is that what you guys did when you told me y'all "took care of something", y'all killed a man?" He asked, his eyes still wide as hell.
This big mouth ass skeleton always talking.
I looked over at Santana who seemed to be completely oblivious to what he just did.
But before I could say anything, Dre was already knocking him upside the head.
"You bubble gum brain ass bitch, do you ever shut the fuck up?" Dre yelled, slapping him up one more time.
Santana tried to duck it though, holding his head in the previous spot where Dre hit him before.
"Remember when I said I had to do it, well I meant that, the man we killed wasn't a good person—and I that doesn't make it better but it is what it is." I tried to plead my case.
Then I thought about it.
"I mean your not one to talk, you just told us we should kill our boss—so let's not go finding our morals all of a sudden." I spoke accusingly.
He got some nerve.
"I wasn't judging, I just didn't expect you guys to have already murdered someone—but if that's the case, like Santana said, if y'all killed ole dude why not just kill boss man?" He asked, surprising me yet again for the second time this night.
Lucas out here agreeing with Santana, never.
"See this nigga get it, y'all would be nothing without my masterpiece of a brain, maybe we should keep you around after all." Santana crosses his arms happily.
Lord give us strength.
"Your brain coo, wouldn't say masterpiece but I digress." Dre mumbles to himself.
Huh?
"Seriously tho, if we really try hard enough we could probably come up with a good enough plan—that doesn't end with all of us in body bags." Lucas speaks again, this time more confident in his words.
I don't know, something about a nigga with confidence gets me going.
I know it's not the time, but still.
"I mean yeah it's possible but what about his goons? I'm sure Brax's people will be after us, but if we kill Boss—that's double the goons on our ass." I say, playing out every possible outcome in my mind.
You just never know how this could end.
"Well that's why we need to come up with something that'll take care of each and every opp in our way, and we need to do it fast—because we don't know how much time we have left. Lucas responds.
Who would've ever thought I would be sitting here planing out a way to kill my boss with my boyfriend and my two best friends.
Definitely not me, that's for sure.
We wasted no time getting started on brainstorming fool proof plans, that'll help us be free men by the end.
And I have to say, the one we ended up coming to an agreement on—wasn't too bad.
Now all we can do is hope no one gets hurt in the midst of everything that's about to go down.
