intimacy

hands clasping sheets,
limbs wound & lips
as blood-rushed as
reddening cheeks.

teeth & feet & biting
& fingers grasping tightly,
everything else is a blur
when you move your tongue like that—too sweet,
on the shell of my ear
whilst our centers slowly gyrate
like how our planets orbit
around the people that we hate.

love is the repetitive knocking on wood
so we push past boundaries
until legs get splayed over shoulders
until prayers get louder
& we'll hear your neighbors
knocking on wood
because they'll try to drown us
trying to drown them out.

sweat becomes proof of the warming
of icy saturnine hearts
as slow & deep reaches a rabbit's pace
& hands claw backs & slap pleasured faces
& circle bruised throats like a necklace.
hurt is a common friend that visits us often
in our dreams,
we've only adapted to its muse
now that we inflict it upon ourselves.

screw me
until nuts let loose (HAHAHHAHAHAHA)
i'd like to be mind-numb for a moment.
you're here but you're with someone else
& i can't complain
when i do the same to you for a second.
love is the repetitive knocking on wood
we should have truly wished to leave us be
because then we wouldn't have asked each other
to be hurt further now we're fucking
when we should have been in the arms of another.

you're good. too good.
but if we were with the people we hated,
wouldn't it be better?
you don't look at me as you beg for release
& muscles begin contracting.
our tongues wander in necessity
& the warmth we asked for spills on sheets (gross huhu)
as heads dig deep & legs shake.
we're fine when we embrace each other like this.

necks open, unsecured
a quiet nook
for breathy murmurs &
temporary compliments
because beauty isn't thought of
but felt
& we melt
into the night obscure
& the tomorrow it comes with
is always a mystery
but we're here for the temporary cures.
