Chapter 1: Rescued

A slender figure runs down an alleyway, two dark figures chase her with a cage and whips. Suddenly she hits a wall and quickly parkours off the lid of a dumpster and vaults elegantly over the wall. She feels her lungs burning and her legs want to give out. She slips and falls to the ground. Her pursuers aren't far behind. A man and a tiny woman appear. They help the girl up and help her escape her captors. Once inside a truck, the man introduces himself and the little woman. I'm mace Montana and this is my wife Midge. What's your name child?" The kindly circus owner asks the girl. This girl isn't your regular girl, she has the ears and face of a cat. "I'm Bianca." She says shyly. "Where do you live dear?" Midge asks, "no where ma'am, I'm an orphan." Bianca says saidly. "Well, Bianca it's nice to meet ya! Say why don't you come live with us. You can travel the country and work at the same time." Midge says as they drive back to the circus. "I'd love to, but what do y'all do?" Bianca asks, curiously. " We're circus people, I own the cabrini circus." Mr Montana explains to the cat girl. "We're an odd mix of family but we love each other. You'll be well treated and food to eat and a warm place to sleep and more than enough friends." Midge says, getting the girls interest. " I would love to come live with you all, Thank-you." Bianca says convinced.
