Sorry for the long break. No excuses.
We made it to the entrance and stood in the biggest line in history. I swear this is just plain ridiculous. Luckily all the booths were open today and the line was moving pretty fast. I had some of the cash that Oliver handed me. Exactly enough for the entrance fee and unlimited ride bracelets. We got her at 1:45 so we had approximately 9 hours and fifteen minutes here. Faith told me she brought the money for the food so we were all good.
"Hey! Are you okay? You kind of spaced out on me." She waved her hand in front of my eyes in a fast arc. She had this look on her face that said 'You are acting strange. Have you been on ducted and replaced by a super intelligent shape-shifting alien?' Her eyebrows were slightly scrunched together and her eyes were wide. She also had her lips tightly pursed as if she had tasted something sour.
"Yeah, I'm fine I just wanted to make sure that we had everything. Okay." I looked around at the different things we could do and stared at Faith with twinkling eyes. "Which one do you want to go on first?"

We had been her for three hours and have had so much fun. I feel kind of...pained. oh, I haven't eaten since lunch. I turned to face Faith and tapped her lightly on her shoulder. I looked to see what she was smiling at and it was the kids laughing on the merry go round. She turned to me, her hair got blown into my mouth by the wind just as I opened my mouth to speak. Gross.
I picked the hair out of my mouth and rubbed my hands on my back pockets. "Let's go get some food. I am starving." I could just imagine the endless chicken wings and the hoard of pizza that will be consumed by my unrelenting hunger. I was once again pulling Faith along with me, as impatient as always. We were standing at the burger stand because the chicken and pizza didn't look quite as appetizing as the burgers. The lady manning the cash register called us up. "Can I please get a double bacon cheese burger with a coke." I turned around to find Faith scanning the board above My head.
"Um, just some popcorn. " The lady at the nodded at us and relayed our order to the cooks. I turned my face to the food court and scanned the area for a clean table. I saw kids with their faces dirty with ice cream, and tables that were most likely searing hot in the sun. "Can we go sit near the ferris wheel? It looks like nobody is there and the bench isn't in the sun."
"Yes, definitely. No butt burns for me today. After that we should play the shooting game near it. We do have extra cash right?" I faced her with a raised eyebrow then alternated eyebrows. She looked at me like she was trying to hold in a laugh.
"Yeah. We have like 30 bucks." She said this with faked nonchalance. As if I couldn't tell that she wanted to laugh earlier. We stepped forward and towards the front of the fair where the ferris wheel was and passed the games.
I looked over to my left, towards the cotton candy machine. Crap! He's here. The bane of my existence just had to show up and ruin my day. Why must the world despise me so. I grabbed Faith and aligned her so that he wouldn't see my face. The blonde haired prick shouldn't be able to make me hide but I'm too much of a coward to stand up for myself. I prefer to just go with the flow and let it take me to where fate meant for it to take me.
"Hey what's wrong. You look scared....ANSWER ME!" She stops and I look up at her, taking in her expression. Lips pouted in annoyance, eyebrows raised as if waiting for an answer. I bite my lip and pull her away to where he won't see me.
Once we are safely behind the hot dog cart I open my mouth to speak. "Did you see the blonde kid by the cotton candy stand? Well that's the kid that bullies me in school. He shouldn't even know my name. He is a junior and I'm a sophmore. He's been my own personal hell on legs since middle school. He was pretty cool in elementary and I never did anything to deserve his wrath......." I had started to list off things he did to me throughout the years and Faith progressively got more infuriated. She looked about ready to smash his face in. "And there was this one time when he cut off my hair and glued it to my face while I was asleep in class' and......." By the time I was done the food was cold and Faith was glaring holes into the hot dog stand in approximately the same spot he was standing about fifteen minutes ago.
"Okay Faith I think the coast is clear." I tugged her towards the shooting games I knew I was going to win, plus that giant stuffed Panda was just calling my name. "Ooh I know, let's play the shooting game!" she looked at me like 'Are you sure?'. I just motioned to the two empty spots near our side of the game. Faith stood in front of the booth and paid the man $10 bucks for the both of us. I winked at her, sending a thumbs up her way, and took my place at the next booth. I didn't see the other people at the booth, I was too focused getting the trajectory of my gun right. the little clown was going to get dowsed in water. i turned towards Faith to see that she was positioning the gun on her shoulder.
The guy picked up the microphone, "How is everyone?" a chorus of 'good' resonated in the air. "Are you ready?" 'yeah'. I positioned myself. I was going to get this bear today.
