Aeclaysia is doomed.

Though the royal family that sealed away evil long ago is gone without a trace, some believe that they will return somehow.
Ilene, a young, rebellious mercenary, has no such hope left. Mistrusted by the majority for her appearance, she only has her fellow mercenaries to rely on. Endlessly, she fights against the vampires and their forces. But during a fateful raid, she falls into the merciless clutches of Dimitri, a ruthless vampire lord.
He has a bargain for her.
And she is in no position to refuse.
