Y/n's POV:

I was in my room, pacing around. I didn't know what to do. My lip was red from all the picking on it. When I'm stressed I always pick on my lips. I used to do that when I was younger and I never stopped, so it's something I do when I'm stressed.

I puffed out some air when I plopped down on the bed. I laid down on my back and started staring at the ceiling. Why me? Why do I have to marry someone I don't like? I put my hands in front of my face, closed my eyes and started to try and get my focus back.

What should I do now? I've got some options. I can surrender and just marry Leo but than I won't be happy and live a sad live. And I sure as hell don't want that. I can run away but I have no idea how to survive. I mean I've been taken care of and had money since I was born. I don't think I will survive all alone. So I don't think that's an option too. So that leaves me with one option left...

I have to find someone I like and marry them before I'm 18. I can try and find someone I really like. The thing is I have seen most people in this whole kingdom and no one really stands out. But I still have to try. So I'll go into the city and try and meet some people. It will be hard. I mean trying to find someone and get close to them and eventually ending up to like them enough before I'm 18. That will be hard. But I'm gonna try it anyway.

I put my hands back down and sit back up. I stood up and checked myself quickly in the mirror before I went outside.

When I was outside of the castle I went to a market. I knew there would be a lot of people there so it was my best chance.

When I arrived at the market I saw how crowded it was. I never really was a people person if you get what I mean. So I was pretty nervous to go in to that crowd and talk to people. I shook of the nerves and went to one of those stalls. They had these lovely handmade baskets covered with cute little flowers.

I smiled at the owner of the stall and complimented their baskets. " Every single one of them is handmade by me and my family. " Says the woman behind the stall with a cute little smile. " We have been making them since a long time. It's something we love to do and we put all our love in each and every single one of these baskets. "

I smile at her and I ask how much the one is with purple flowers on it. The lady answers with " That one will be 10 euro's, please. " I hand her the money and continue my journey.

I looked at the basket I just bought. It was so beautiful I just had to buy it.

I walked past some more stalls and saw some beautiful things. I didn't buy another thing after the basket though. I didn't had that much money with me.

I kept walking through the crowd till I heard some music. It sounded angelic. I walked towards the music and saw some people dancing to it. Seeing all these people dancing to the music brought a smile to my face.

I guess some guy saw it because he walked to me and basically dragged me to the group of dancing people. He didn't let go of my hands and he started swinging them and dancing with me. I chuckled at him while he had a big smile on his face. He was around his 30s but he still had some dance moves. He probably does this often.

I smile at him while still dancing with him. At some moment people started changing from partners while dancing. The man let go of me and I got paired with a girl around my age. We smiled at each other while we intertwine our arms and switch from arms after every circle we make. We laugh a lot and have fun while dancing together. I notice that she dances really good. I got to say that I'm kind of jealous. She looks really gentle and graceful with every move she makes. I bet she loves to dance.

When the music ends we let go of each other and start clapping for the people who made the music. After the clapping died down a bit the girl looked at me. We smiled towards each other.

" Hi, my name is Josie. What is your name? " The girl askes me.

" My name is y/n. " I said smiling at her. " You dance really good. Do you dance often? " I ask the girl.

" Thank you! I dance every day. I love doing it. It makes me feel free, you know? I would dance every minute of every day if I could. " Josie said with a big smile on her face.

Josie has a beautiful face. She has a beautiful brown skin with those cute brown eyes. She has long brown hair that falls all the way down to her lower back. It isn't curly but it also isn't straight. It's some sort of wavy and it looks really good.

She's wearing a cute little blue dress that falls just above her knees. It looks cute because it has some details that make the dress perfect.

" Do you come here often? " Josie askes.

" No, I've never really been to the market. I don't know why, it looks amazing here though. " I respond to her.

We start walking around together while we get to know each other better. We really click together. We only met a few minutes ago and we go along really well.

It starts to get dark when we're still talking. I looked at the sky and realise I'm about to be late for dinner.

" Oh shoot, I have to go. I have to get to dinner. It was really nice meeting you Josie. " I say while standing up from the bench we were sitting on.

" It was really nice meeting you, y/n. We should meet up someday. Is Wednesday noon alright with you? " She askes.

" Yeah that is alright with me. See you at Wednesday then? " I say while giving her a small smile.

" Yeah see you then! " Josie says while slowly walking backwards.

" Bye! " I say shouting to her.

I turn around walking towards the castle. ' Wow ' I think to myself. I found someone. Maybe not someone I will want to marry but definitely a friend. I hope we will become great friends. Friends who can trust each other blindly and with their whole hearts.
