After 'questioning' from a gruff-looking man and a bubbly woman, I was allowed to go out to this time's Diagon Alley. It doesn't look too different, but it is outdated and seems more like it would belong in the 1700s.

"What would you like to do first? We can go clothes shopping, trunk shopping, quill and ink shopping,...."

I drown out the eccentric voice on the now bright blue-haired female. How would I know what to shop for if I could not remember?

I hardly suppress the urge to roll my eyes at her.

I decide to take in my surroundings. It may be ancient-looking, and slightly dusty, but one could appreciate what it could be. Or in this case, probably was.

Everything was busy. The streets were full of bodies, the shops filled so much that some had lines, the bakeries and cafes had people of all ages sitting around and talking. Everything was so loud and distracting, I could barely hear the click, clack of the gruff man's peg leg. Was his name Moody??

"How 'bout we just start with clothing and then get supplies."

Short and simply put, but probably for the best. "Sure"

"Well ok! Let's get to Madame Malkins: Clothing for All Occasions. It's almost her lunch break..."

As we scavenged our way through the thick crowd, I can feel a pull. Stange, it seems to be coming from the poorly lit side alley off to the side. Maybe I should make my way over there and the blue-haired one would tell me more about it.

I slowly lose the watchdogs and head to the dark alley. "Hadrian! We don't want to go down there. It is very dangerous. Of course, you wouldn't know that......," she says as she grabs my arm and pulls me away from the 'dangerous' alley," That is where very bad wizards and witches shop for dark artifacts. There are also lots of homeless that live there."

Ah, they don't like 'dark' wizards at this time. That must mean I can't freely practice my magic.

"Ok. Let's continue to the clothing shop!", I 'happily' reply.

She readily takes my reply and heads off with my wrist in her hand.

I don't think that I'm going to do anything interesting this whole afternoon.......

"Potter, wake up! We have a new body found. Looks to be about two months old and has the signature mark."

'I really can't deal with this anymore. We seem to find a new body ranging from five months to two weeks old every week or so. And on top of looking for Hadrian...'

------------Time Skip-------------

As we walk closer to the crime scene the darker it gets. Eventually, we can't even see our hands in front of our faces. I silently cast a lumos with my wand and keep it a bit away from my chest.

'The only witness we have says that the figure looked like that of a kid. How can a child do what an adult could never do? Not to even mention the places where these bodies are kept. Dark alleys, in dumpsters, under floors, in walls, ext. The witness must be confused. There is no way a child can do this.'

My partner interrupts my thoughts, "What are you thinking about Potter? You look like you ate Hippogriff shit."

"It's just that our witness says this is a kid. How can a child do these things, let alone do them good enough not to get caught?"

"I don't know. I could not imagine my little Even to do any of this, but there are many messed up people out there."

"Yes, but they have the skill and enough knowledge to not get caught and still make themselves known. How could a kid know that?"

"I have no clue, maybe their parents are also murderers and they taught him."

"Yeah, maybe.."

Before the silence could get too awkward we arrive at where the body was found. I turn out my lumos with a simple nox as there are already lights for investigation purposes. There are many people doing different jobs in the small, dark alley.

"Detectives, the body is over there, by the sewer drain. The mediwitch has already looked over the body. The TOD is 04/12/1987 (12/4/1987 for Americans like me) at 12:07. The body seems to have been dumped here for about two months. A homeless lady found it looking for her," he pauses to look at his notes " 'clock''. "

"That would mean that the killer had kept the body somewhere else for at least six weeks.", I point out.

"Yeah, looks like we need to find our crime scene."

"Can we still look at the body, officer?" my partner asks.

"Yeah, sure. We already looked over everything, but help yourself."

Dismissed, we walk off to where the body and witnesses are.

From behind me, I hear my partner's voice speak up, "You want the witness or body?"

"Whatever is fine."

"Ok, I got body then!"

"You sound too happy about that."

He flips me off before turning around leaving me with an officer and the witness.

"I would like to integrate the witness for a few moments. Do you mind leaving for a few minutes?"

The officer nods and walks away.

"Hello, Miss.-?", I stop there waiting for her to give me her name and adjust my notepad.

"Wesley. Molly Wesley."

"Mrs. Wesley, my name is Katie Potter. I'm on the Emerald Killer task unit. I'm here to ask you a few questions and you may have to come back to the office for a more thorough interrogation."

"OK"

"Alright. Why were you here?"

"I was looking for my clock. It has gone missing."

She gains a glossy look over her eyes at the mention of her 'clock'.

"Ok, did you touch or move the body when you found it?"

"Yes, it is how I found it. I was looking in the mud."

"Did you pick up or see anything that could be useful to us? Remember if you hide something from us we can put you in Azcaband or fine you 100 gallons."

"No, I didn't pick anything up. I couldn't see either, so I wouldn't know if there is anything useful around here."

"Ok, thank you for answering. We shouldn't need you, but if we do where can we find you?"

"I live near (enter address)"

"Ok, we will contact you if needed."

"Detective! I think I found something."

I leave the witness with another officer and go to where my partner and some officers helping him have found something.

"What is that?"

As I get closer I can see the object that is now in my partner's hand.

"I know what it is."

They all look at me.

"It- it looks like-"

"Potter, spit it out! Where do you know this from?"

"It's m- my nephews."

"Your nephew's? Are you sure?"

"It might not be but it looks like his pendant."

"Where did he get his pendant from?"

"Oh, Merlin!"

"What is it!"

"He- he- it's a family heirloom..."

"Where is you nephew? This is not the victims. It's too far from the body and looks like someone grabbed it from the person's neck. "

"May- maybe he was walking trough new here and someone grabbed his pendant and lost it over here"

"Where is your nephew right now?"

"He went missing a few days ago."

"You mean he was Hadrian Prevel?"

"Yeah, he disappeared. He couldn't have done this. He- he wouldn't."
