I never thought sleeping a full night would be a bad thing. Ever since I got this bed, I have been sleeping like a log every night. Yes, I still have nightmares, but instead of staying up and thinking about it repeatedly, I go back to sleep and try and dream something else. But this bed is dangerous! I sleep in almost all the time. I'm at least 5 minutes late to work every shift. The only reason I'm not fired is because their low staffed already and 5 minutes isn't going to kill them.

I grab a pair of pants that probably haven't been washed since bought, and my work shirt. I (reluctantly) put on my cheap tennis shoes that I guess are required and run downstairs to catch Papyrus before he walks out the door. "Morning bro." I say still tired from just waking up.

Papyrus sighs and shuts the door. Unlike me, he has time to spare. He always shows up at the station early.

"BROTHER. MUST YOU ALWAYS WAKE UP JUST BEFORE YOUR SUPPOSED TO BE AT WORK?"

I knew he was going to say something with the way he closed the door.

"Yeah, I know bro. Sorry. It's just that new bed! It's dangerously comforting."

Papyrus just sighed and continued to open the door leading us both out. "WELL LEAVE NOW SO YOUR NOT TOO LATE. I SHALL SEE YOU WHEN I GET BACK. ALSO...PICK UP YOUR SOCK!"

Papyrus gave me his cute death glare. It never scares me. I simply laughed and took a short cut to Mt. Convenience.

Mt. Convenience is well a convenience store. I got the job here only a few months after we moved up here. Papyrus thought that it would be good for me to get a small job to start out with. After the "reset" I haven't really been giving it my all. I gave up more then I usually do. I just started to see her everywhere and I couldn't stop dreaming about her. Thinking where she is now. I just wanted to know if she was okay.

I grabbed the handle to the small store and took a deep breath getting ready for long day that was about to approach me. At the counter was the cashier that had the shift before me. She was older and didn't really like anyone. But I knew that I had to keep a positive attitude if I wanted to keep my job here. Besides, she can be tolerible...sometimes.

"Hey Ashley." I gave a polite hello trying to keep the peace. Monsters and Humans have enough bullshit to deal with.

"Huh. He's only 3 minutes late today." Ashley smiled and started to grab her things. She must have already counted out her register.

"Yeah. My brother forced me out of the house. Let me grab some coffee and I'll take over."

"Someone broke the coffee machine in the middle of the night. If you want coffee, you ain't going to get it here."

I sighed with disappointment. I was really looking forward to the horrible coffee we serve here. "Guess no coffee for me."

"Nonsense. There's a new coffee joint just down the road. It's called 'Bean Town'. Kinda expensive but good. Might keep you from sleeping on the job for once.

I thought for a moment. Never had such fancy coffee before. "Yeah, but you already have to go, and my shift started 5 minutes ago."

Ashley gave a small chuckle. "We've been dead all day and I don't really look forward to going home to 2 crying kids anyway. Go ahead. I'll watch the shop. You have 10 minutes before I report you for being late and you get money deducted from your paycheck." She looked me dead in the eye as she gave me that threat. Unlike Papyrus, her stare isn't cute. It's scary.

"Alright. 10 minutes."

I walked out of the shop and followed the directions Ashley gave me to the coffee shop. I saw it down the road. How did I not notice it before? It's probably the newest building in this whole town and I didn't even bother to look at it. When I walked in it gave me a hipster vibe. Nice couches to sit at and booths near the window to enjoy the sun as you sip a hot cup of coffee. The smell of fresh bakes hit my skull like a truck. It smelt so good and fresh. Smooth jazz music filled over the voices that were going on around me making me feel like I'm in this whole other world.
