Edward ran into the house and came out bracing Tina by the elbows. "You alright??" He said and helped her sit down on the porch.

"Yes, I'm fine, just a bit dizzy." She replied as she ran her hand through her hair.

"I'm gonna take you to the ER though. Madison, come on. Get in the truck," He helped her into the truck, and away they went, dirt flying in the air.

Almost five minutes after they drove away, a different truck came into the driveway. I lifted my head from my grazing to inspect. Ivy walked over to me to look on as well. As the tall, slender woman got out of the truck. From her black boots to her navy jeans, from her leather jacket to her short brown hair I could tell she meant business. She had a very straight nose, and her gray eyes were very fierce. She didn't even wear a hat! Who could this person be, drive in her like she owned the place, be??

She pulled out her cellphone after looking everywhere for someone, or something. I couldn't hear what she said, but she looked very upset. I nudged Ivy to walk to the far side of the pasture. I had to stay away from her. I didn't like her.

I watched nervously as she got my halter and climbed over the fence to me. She walked very determinedly towards me, and I tensed up. She saw but didn't care. Each step she took was crumbling the grass. I warned her as I laid my ears back. Not even Ivy liked her. She took off like a dart.

I followed her as she ran into the little forest. Darting through the pines, splashing in the river, we came to a stop in the thick willows right next to the river.

It took a while for the woman to catch up. But when she did, we darted off for another spot. This went on for a while, and finally, the woman gave up and sat in her truck. Ivy went back to the river, not only to hide but get refreshed both mentally and physically.

At sunset, Edward, Madison, and Tina came back. Tina was fine and felt a lot better. Edward, after helping Tina, talked to the woman. Ivy and I came up to the fence, and Madison came up to say hello.

"I'm so sorry that we couldn't be here," Edward said to the woman. They talked in hushed voices that made me scared. Madison updated us on her mother and said she felt like nothing had happened to her.

Edward walked over to us with our halters, I held still for him. I would've run away from him, but I wanted to show the woman that I only responded to certain people. I was acting headshy to him so that I still had my dignity. Finally, the halter was on, and Ivy and I were walked into the barn. Ivy went into her stall, but Edward kept me out. He held me still while the woman ran her hands all over me.

"What do you think Emma?" He said and watched as she nodded her head.

"He's got an adequate body build," Emma said and tried her hardest to pick up my front foot. I held it down and leaned against her. She walked to the other side of me and I switched my weight to the other side. "Ugh!"

"Here, hold Flint, and I'll do it," Edward said and easily lifted my foot. I didn't try to tear it out of his hand, for I knew what would happen. Emma then took my foot Edward and inspected it. She tapped all over my hoof, and just when she was about done, I reared up. She fell to the ground and jumped back up before I touched back down. Edward couldn't help but smile.

Emma glared at me and Edward. "I think I'll take him," She said with a determined look in her eye. I knew this was bad. Very, very bad.
