Harvest Moon: Love of My Life

Chapter 2

"How about this? We gather everyone at the bar at 7 pm and then we can get Luke to trick Owen some way or another into coming in, bam we surprise him! Then party all night!" Kathy said then leaned on my kitchen table.
"Actually sounds pretty good, though the one other thing we have to worry about is a cake. I would make it but I wouldn't call myself a five star cook." I said.
"I would also make it but I'm rather busy with work to bake one, Wait! We could ask Chase to bake one! He's like the best cook on this island!" She said in excitement.
"Yeah we could ask him that's pretty good other than that I think we're set for the party." I replied.
"Oh! I think Chase is off today, he's probably at his house maybe we could go now and ask because any later it's going to be Owens birthday by then." Kathy said.
I nod in agreement. We both exit my farmhouse and begin walking down the path, sharing ideas on how to surprise Owen, by the time we finish our conversation were already outside Chases house.
"Ok we invite him and ask him to bake the cake! Simple." Kathy says.
Kathy knocked on the wooden door on the house. A science past then we hear the handle turn and Chase opens the door, looking at us with his usual scowl.
"What do you two need? I'm kinda busy." he said.
"We want you to bake a cake for us." Kathy said politely.
"For what?" Chase quickly asks.
"Owens birthday party, we are having a surprise party and inviting everyone in town." I said.
"When is it?" He asked.
"Friday, that gives you two days giving
Today's Tuesday." Kathy answers
"I suppose I may be able to bake a cake for you." Chase said.
"Thank you, Chase!" I said then smiled.
"Thanks this means a lot." Kathy
Said.
"Yeah, well bye I'll deliver the cake to the party." Chase said.
"Bye, Chase." I said.
"Bye-bye." Kathy said then waved.
Chase closed the door, leaving Kathy and I alone.
"So I guess everything is taken care of. I will invite everyone when I bump into them so they know." Kathy said.
"I will try to as well." I say.
"You know what we should have a sleep over before the party, me and you." Kathy says.
"Yeah! Sounds great you can come to my house." I say.
We both begin to leave the area. We joke around the whole way home, it feels so great to have a close friend I don't remember the last time I had this much fun. I wave goodbye as we part ways at my farm, I go back into the house and lay on my bed. I fell asleep after that.
After hard work on on my farm until the day of Kathy and I's sleep over. about 6 pm I heard a knock on my door.
"Molly! I'm here!" She said
I open the door and greet her with a smile.
"Ok first things first! What are you wearing for the party." she said.
I looked down at my clothes, I mean I do dress kind of boyish since I'm a farmer but I do own a few dresses I could possibly wear.
"Honestly I have a few dresses in mind but I'm not sure." I said.
I see Kathy begin to smile as she begins to rummage through a bag she brought with her. the only thing I can think of is oh boy she's going to make me try on a lot of different outfits like a fashion show. I wouldn't mind it, It fun to relax and hang out with friends instead of constantly working on the farm.
