Harvest Moon: Love of My Life

Chapter 6

"You really want me to wear that!" I said in shock.
"It's my favorite dress and I want you to wear it. " Kathy said.
She hands me a long blue dress with elegant lace and ribbons.
"It's so beautiful." I say as I hold it up to me in the mirror.
"Try it on, we have to start getting ready anyway the party starts soon." Kathy adds.
We both put on our dresses and Kathy does my makeup.
"Here wear this." Kathy said then places a necklace around my neck.
"I love this" I said and smile
"It suits you well Molly." She said.
We both talk on our way to the party. we walk in and everyone from town is here and they all are having a good time. Kathy and I meet up with Owen and sit at a table.
"Im going to go and get us some drinks, I'll be back." Owen said then headed to the bar.
Kathy scoots closer to me.
"Ok, so Chase gets off after awhile and that's when all the festivities start up usually shortly after." Kathy says.
we sit there in silence for a few minutes Chase got off work just as Hamilton began to speak.
"let the festival begin the fireworks will start soon shortly after it gets dark, so enjoy the party until then!" He said.
"I'm going to head outside to sit." Kathy said to me.
I nodded.
I began to get thirsty so I got up and went to the punch bowl. I grab a cup and pour some punch into it. I turn around and take a sip until eventually I have an empty glass. suddenly I was grabbed by the hand and pulled outside, it was Chase.
"I'm sorry that was so sudden but..... there's something that I wanted to... ask." he said with his face turning slightly pink.
"What would that be?"I said and smiled.
"Would you.. be my girl friend?" He asked his eyes lighting up.
"Yes, I will." I said.
"I'm so happy." he said
Chase leaned over and hugged me tight.
"Your so cute."
This made me begin to blush. Kathy ran up behind us.
"Hey you two love birds the shows about to start." she said.
"Let's go!" I said as I grabbed Chase's hand.
We all sit together on the beach as the fireworks are shot off, Kathy and I exchange looks she winks at me and I wink back.
Chase wrapped his arm around me as the last few fireworks are shot off.
"I'm glad I could spend this night with you, Molly." Chase said.
"Me too." I replied back.
