Chapter 7: The New King

4 years later,
After what happened at Blixer's 16th birthday, he suddenly felt so empty like a shell. The traumatic experience he gain isn't helping him one bit, "Welcome to our new king of Paradise Kingdom! King Blixer!" The villagers cheer with excitement but the 20-year old king feel nothing. Neither of his parents are here to feel joy, not even Barracuda is here for him. His eyes are full of emptiness and trauma, Striker was worried since he barely got any letters from Blixer for a while. What the pink prince see is shapes with blacked out faces no sign of happiness oor sadness. Not even a sign of the Dream Lady in his dreams, only the dreamless sleeps he have. Every day he visits his parents and Barracuda's grave, he just stares at them before replacing wilted flowers with new ones.

At Shovel Kingdom,
"I gotta check on Blixer! He's not ok after what happened 4 years ago!" Striker was being opposed by his father, "No! You have my power and magic! You must perfect them and take my place for the future of Shovel Kingdom!!" he grabbed Striker's wrist and dragging him. "But Blixer is my friend! I can't turn him down!" "I WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO INTERFERE FROM WHAT'S BEST FOR YOU!!!" what's best for Striker? That won't change his mind, he pulled his wrist out of his father's grasp and glared at him. "What's best for me only your concerns! You always focus on yourself and not how I feel! I need to help my ONLY friend and not become what you want!! STAY OUT OF MY WAY!!!" Striker jolted off. "Striker! Striker! Get back here!!" Striker's father yelled, "I do say, your son have his mother's stubbornness when it comes to friends." Usurper walked up next to him. "I just want what's good for my boy." the father sighed, "Let him be, he got a quest to do and he will accomplish it. I would do the same if I were Striker, just give your boy a chance and things will go well in the future of the four kingdoms." Usurper patted his royal captain's shoulder.

Striker arrived at Paradise Kingdom, he search around for his pink friend. Asking where could Blixer be, he even asked Airborne and Lacey where he could be. "He told me that he's heading to the Great Treeangle, you better hurry Striker. I can feel his stress and corruption building up." Strike nodded and rushed over to the Treeangle. He saw Blixer sitting under it with his knees tucked to his chest and still have that emotionless face. "Blixer! There you are!" Blixer turned to see Striker, in his vision Striker's face is clear and visible. "S-Striker?" this is th very first time Blixer spoke, his voice was a little raspy but it's nice to hear it again. Striker hugged Blixer and softly cries, "I was really worried about you man, I barely receive any letters from you so I went to check. Blixer, what happened 4 years ago isn't your fault or anyone's. Not even your father's fault, he became one of HER victims." Blixer hugged Striker back. "Striker...My vision is blind, I can no longer see anyone's faces clearly...except yours, you are one of my closest friends and I can't lose you...Everyone else's were blank or blacked out...." the pink king began crying.

"For now, I will be by your side until you get better! I promise!" a corrupted string has snapped, Blixer felt relieved but his face doesn't show it. A prodigy of a royal captain helping a broken king to recover, "Thank you, I'm....I'm sorry for not sending you any letters. I just can't move on after what happened 4 years ago, and remembering that incident is fueling up hatred in my heart. I'm afraid that...I might lose control of myself..." Blixer's hands is trembling in fear. "Don't worry, you have me! I will never leave your side!" "Th-Thank you...Thank you....You are the only one that I have close to me..." Blixer is glad that he still hav Striker. Without Striker, who knows what the pink king will do...
