Chapter 6: Howling in The Wind

"Sister, you have finally found me". Maverick wrapped Iris up in a warm hug for this long awaited reunion once she visited the bayou. "After the original alpha died from silver bullet wounds, his bite mark on my arm turned me into the leader of the pack. I could not control my shape-shifting so, I thought it was best to get away to protect mother and you. Besides, both of you are more than capable to fend for yourselves".

"I guess so. The massacre I witnessed was beyond horrible. All the blood and carnage spilling on the ground. The screams and adrenaline rush simply made these monsters enthusiasts in the art of slashing bodies".

"So vampires are artists?" Maverick tried to be sarcastic. "What is your plan to take them down? Rosa is taking too long".

"Follow my lead brother and trust that werewolves shall reclaim their power in due time".

** Two days later **

Delia asked Clint to assist her in a scheme to be at the upper echelon of people domination. As her assistant who was recently appointed vizier, he advises her on what is best to do to achieve her aims.

He thought it is clever to trick the population to pay bills to assess their place in the forest. "Do not worry about silencing them because their voices are not powerful or eloquent at all".

"Clint, you are very funny. Everyone in the forest is gullible". Delia laughed excessively then turned serious. "It is better to begin by turning them against each other; then prevail amid the anarchy".

Loud were Rosa's cries as she carried Blossom's dead body to the swamp. She asked the Grimm sisters for a chance to salvage her friend's soul, yet, sadly, it was too late.

"You should have notified us sooner about this death", Fiona emerged from behind her sisters like royalty. "Now her soul is perished, may it rest in peace. Her body deserves a proper burial".

Bruscia stepped closer to the front porch and shared: "you have shown great potential Rosa. Eliminating faintness and undoing Delia's curse proves how powerful you are. Your friend dumped into the swamp soil will heal impurities and save her body from decay".

"I am eternally grateful for your kindness", Rosa said.

It was supposed to be a beautiful day. Everyone expected the sun to shine, but the winds came along and changed everything. Little by little, these winds increased their intensity until a tornado arose near the forest, bringing with it massive destruction. Residents prepared themselves for this and shielded their households.

As promised, Diana gave Victoria the letters exchanged between her dad Adam and Delia. Their content is quite steamy. As Victoria started reading them, she realized how steamy and scandalous they are: so, Violet is not her father's killer. Delia is after several attempts to end their affair.

The young vampire immediately thought of warning Hades. But before that, she ran like thunder to Clarice who called on Kamal and Rosa for extra help. They formed a circle as Clarice urged Kamal to be more assertive: "you do not have to retain the horse figure. This is why I brought Rosa whom I am certain you know. She can convert you back into a human silhouette".

"Delia enjoys pranks", he let out a distressful tone. "She actually turned me into a horse to give me the illusion of freedom whilst not being able to escape. Perhaps, she is terrified to discuss my magical abilities".

"We will need as much help as possible to save Hades from the witch's darkness", a determined Victoria interjected.

As Kamal nodded, Rosa asked Clarice to bring out the rose quartz she keeps in her drawer. She sprinkled salted water in a clockwise motion on the edges of the circle to cleanse the space. "Please sit everyone, close your eyes and hold hands. I have anointed the candles with orange oil." The four did as asked then she recited conversus retro while focusing her intention on Kamal. As they all joined Rosa on the desire of manifestation, Kamal held the warm crystal tightly as the young witch followed the spell with da eu fiducia.
