Chapter 15 - Jealousy

Zishu, he himself didn't know why he was crying.

That day Zhou Zishu and Wen Kexing took half day and went back home.
When they reached home zhisu was back to his normal self but still a little gloomy.

After arriving he went straight to his room with answering to Madam Wen, who called out for him.

"What happened to him?" Madam Wen asked to Kexing
"Nothing..." saying this Kexing was also going to follow Zishu but decided to just leave him alone for time being went went back to his room.

"What's wrong with them?" Madam Wen asked to herself. "It's fine! A mother knows how to make her child happy! Hehehe!" Madam Wen giggled to herself and went to her kitchen.

Back to the college.

Xie'er was currently in his lecture, to be more specific, lecturer of professor Ye Bai Yi. The professor was showing the class some slides when a girl, looking like in her late twenties, knocked on the door.

"May I come in Prof. Ye?" The girl said with a smile
"Come in" Ye Bai Yi replied with same smile

The girl came in and handed Ye Bai Yi few sheets of paper and whispered something to him and went away leaving Ye Bai Yi smiling widely.

Which of course 'someone' didn't like it so decided to interrupt the professors day dreaming.

"Prof. Ye! Can we pls continue if you have finished day dreaming!" Xie'er said annoyed

The class resumed and went smoothly for everyone except for Xie Wang and Prof. Ye. Xie'er kept on boring holes in the professor's back with his angry gaze and the poor professor suffering with that gaze without know who it was.

Back to the wen's household.

Madam Wen had asked Kexing to fetch Zhou Zishu for dinner, to which he complied to. Kexing knocked on the door and immediately received a 'come in'. Kexing went in to see Zhou Zishu sitting on his chair doing his homework of the day.

"Mom's calling for dinner" Kexing said and was about to leave
"Thank you" Zhou Zishu said avoiding looking at Kexing
"For what?"
"For today... at the canteen-"
"It's fine no need to thank me, I have promised Sir Qin to protect you" Kexing said and was going to leave again but Zishu interrupted "....you protected me because of the promise?"

"Yes." Kexing replied and went away leaving a disappointed Zishu.
Zhou Zishu joined the wen's for dinner, which was awfully quiet and awkward because of Wen Kexing, who seemed to be furious at the moment.

And if anyone provoked him, no one's sure if they'll be in one piece so they all kept quiet, had their dinner and did their own things. Madam Wen had planned to have a ice cream party after the dinner but looking at her son she dropped the idea. Maybe next time.

'What wrong with him' Zhou Zishu wondered and could not stop thinking about what Wen Kexing said to him, it was already past midnight and still Zhou Zishu could not sleep so he decided to have a walk in the park which was right next to their house.

He sat down on one bench's and and gazed up in the night sky, full of twinkling stars. It was indeed a beautiful sight.

He stayed at the park for god knows how long until he heard some rustling behind him. He looked back to see Madam Wen standing there, he got up and went towards her and called out..

"Auntie? What are you doing here? At this hour?"
"Ah! Zishu? I couldn't sleep so came here for some fresh air... but what are you doing here? Couldn't sleep?"
"Hmm" Zishu just hmm-ed in reply

The duo sat on the bench where Zishu was sitting when madam Wen asked "is something bothering you?"

"Huh? Uhh no..?" Zishu was caught off-guard by the question and didn't know how to answer which made his reply unconvincing.
"Son, I don't know what's bothering you but just know if you need someone to talk to, someone to rely on, I'm always here. I'm also like your mother so don't hesitate to reach out to me okay?" Madam Wen said with a gentle pat on zishu's head.

Hearing these comforting words from madam wen Zishu was overwhelmed. All the things happened to him since the morning, all the feelings, all his anxiety, everything he was holding back came in one go and he couldn't hold back his tears anymore and let them fall.

Madam Wen pulled Zishu in her embrace and gently rubbed his back in a comforting manner, "let it all out son, don't hold back" and Zishu did it, he let out everything through his tears.

They stayed like that for around 30 mins until Zishu pulled away and said... "I-ill tell you everything..."
