"what?" Cormac asked, the surprise evident in his voice .
"i love you. i've been meaning to say it for a while but the timing always seemed to be off." Meredith explained, fingering the blanket she had in her lap, "it's okay if you don't feel it too but i just -" she started to ramble but was cut off by Hayes' lips pressing to hers.
"if you'd be quiet you'd know my response," he smirked, "i love you too, Grey. i didn't think i'd find anyone after Abigail and in all honesty i wasn't looking to find anyone else but then you came into my life and turned my entire world upside down. you taught me how to love again and that it was okay to love again." he told her with love in his eyes and voice.
"i'm so glad you feel the same way," she chuckled, "because you're it for me, Cormac. i want you and our kids for the rest of my life." she whispered, stroking his cheek.
"i'm all in, baby. you, me and the kids." he whispered back with a smile on his face.
"i love you, Meredith Grey."
"i love you too, Cormac Hayes."
