Chapter 13-Family Reunion

Ryder was discharged from the hospital a few days later. He was in his dad's car. Jessica was driving while Cris was in the passenger seat.

Ryder had his AirPods in as he was listening to music. He was looking out the window, people were walking, driving their cars.

Some people we're playing Pokémon GO, basketball, and other things.

Ryder wished he can play outside but, his mom says that he has to rest and recover.

Ryder looked at his mother. Her hair was down and she had a black Pokémon T-shirt on. He looked at his father. His uniform was off and back at the station.

Thankfully the fire station was very close to where they lived. Chris was in the passenger seat, nobody said a word the whole drive home.

Once they'd got home, Chris and everyone got out of the car. Chase, Skye, Rocky, Liberty, and Zuma hopped out.

Ryder stepped out too. A cast was on his left leg that he has to wear for a month. He closed the door when he got out his crutches. He walked to the house.

Jessica unlocked the door for them and the PAW Patrol. They all went inside.

"Wow... it hasn't changed..." Ryder said. Chris smiles. "Okay. I'm getting Ashley." Jessica said, mentioning his sister that was staying at Gary's house. "She'll be happy to see her big brother home." Chris nodded and smiles.

Ashley was coloring with Gary. Music by Justin Beiber and the Kid Laroi played in the background. "I love this song," Ashley said. Then someone knocks on the door.

Gary got up from his spot on the floor and got to the door. "Oh, hey Chris." He said. "Hey, Gary!" He had a smile on his face.

"Ryder came home!" He said. Ashley ran up to him. "Hey, dad." She hugged him. "Why are you home early?" "Well, Ash.

Remember I told you that your brother has been in an accident?" Chris asked.

Ashley nodded. "Yea." She said. "Well." He smiles. "Come on we have a surprise for you." He said. They walked back to their house. Chris opened the door and Ashley first saw the pups. "Hey, guys!" Ashley said.

"Ashley!" The pups say as they ran up to her and start licking her. "Hey, guys!" Ashley said, laughing. "That tickles!" She said. Then. She saw Ryder walk up. Ashley saw her brother. The nine-year-old girl was wide-eyed as she ran up to hug him. "Ryder!" Ashley said, throwing her arms around his neck.

Ryder smiled and laughed. "Hey, Ash." He smiles. "I missed you..." she said "I do too... Now I'm back living here full time and you don't have to miss me as much. Okay?" Ashley smiled and nodded. Ryder smiled and laughed.

Ashley and Skye were in the backyard playing on the playground. Both Skye and Ashley were swinging. Seeing who could swing the highest.

Liberty was jumping on the trampoline with Chase and Rubble. Rocky was playing jump rope with Zuma. Ryder was holding the other end too. Then, Ryder remembered and dropped the rope. "Guys! We have to find Marshall!"
