Rainy season. It never really bothered me before. I just lived my life like usual. That is until today. I had needed groceries for the rest of the week so I had gotten into my car. It was just raining, not actually storming. The rain itself was big and fat and falling hard. Still I didn't think it was going to be a problem as I had driven in this kind of weather before. So I had set out. The grocery store wasn't that far from where I lived so I had thought it was going to be a simple errand. But fate had other ideas.

There was a screeching of tires, a scream, and metallic crunch and then an instant of pain and that was the last thing remembered. I open my eyes. My eyes adjust to see that I'm in a blank dull place.

"Where am I?" I ask no one as it seems that there is no other person there but me.

"Oh good you finally woke up." A voice says behind me.

I stand up and turn around trying to find the voice but I don't see the person it belongs to.

"Who are you? Where are you?" I ask.

"I am.. the one who will give you a second chance at life." The voice says.

"What do you mean?" I gasp a second later as I remember the car wreck. I look around the place again realization hitting me. "Am I... dead?"

"Yes, my dear. I'm very sorry."

I fall to my knees tears falling down my cheeks. I was dead. I shouldn't have died yet. I was still young! This wasn't fair! I still had the rest of my life to live. While I cried I could've sworn that I felt a comforting hand on my shoulder but when I looked I couldn't see anything. I shift my sitting position bringing my knees up to my chest and wrapping my arms around them.

"Is this Heaven?" I ask shakily.

The voice gives out a laugh but it doesn't sound mocking. "No my dear. As I said I'm here to give you a chance at a second life."

I look up. "How?"

Two portals appear in front of me. One portal has nothing but a bright, warm, welcoming light coming from it and the other shows a gleaming golden palace. I look at the palace before my eyes travel to the long bridge running in front of it. A long rainbow bridge. My eyes widen.

"Is that Asgard?" I point.

"Yes. I'm giving you a choice. You may be reborn in Asgard or you may continue to pass on. The choice is yours."

I look at the other portal then back to Asgard. "Why am I being reborn in Asgard? Not that I'm complaining." I add.

The voice is silent for a moment and at first I think that maybe I had made the voice mad.

"I have watched over Asgard forever. I have watched every version of Asgard. And in every single one, one particular prince has been fated to live the same life. I wish to change that. And I think that you are the one to do it."

I listen to the voice and I swallow thinking over the words. "Is it Loki?" I didn't even know I had spoken the words out loud until the voice confirmed my suspicions. I stand up. I had fallen for the God of Mischief ever since I had first seen the first Thor movie.

"What do I need to do?"

"I think you know what you have to do." The voice answers me. "Though I will confess, your life in Asgard will not be easy."

I frown and raise an eyebrow. "What do you mean?"

"I'm afraid my dear that in order to do think I'll need payment."
