it is not enough
to say you're sorry
After many nights of countless worry
in dens made for fiends alike
Never knowing about your safety
almost as if my fear was your delight
it is not enough to look at you now
behind a casket, sunk deep in the ground
it is not enough to say you tried
for me and you both know that is a lie
And here we all gather in suits of black
knowing from that final trip
You are never coming back
it is not enough to weep with worry
But lay down a rose along a dusting of flurries
it is not enough to hide my pain
But it is enough to again walk alone in the rain
