It was a long day for Jasmine, and not a good one at that. The day started off bad when she slept in and it had only gotten worse for her. All she wanted to do was go home but the day kept dragging on longer and longer. It was just one of those days where everything goes wrong and even if you're doing something you like, you don't like it.

She was tired when she got to rehearsal and left completely exhausted, only to find the rain waiting outside. The day before, she planned on walking home, she only lived two blocks away but that day and the rain had her waving for a cab. No cabs were stopping for her so she ended up starting her walk home, waving every time one went by and eventually one did, though she was already soaked after only being in the rain ten minutes. There was more traffic than usual that night, making the ride home longer for her, and the driver turning the wrong way didn't make it go by any faster.

Once she got inside her apartment building, she found the elevators out of order and she'd have to walk all the way up the stairs, and after the long day she had and how sore she was, that was the thing she least wanted to do. The wait, the traffic, the wrong turn, and the stairs had her getting home only 30 minutes later than usual, but 30 minutes she missed her home and 30 minutes Anthony wondered and started to worry for when she was getting home. She was never late by more than 5 minutes so the extra time it took her to get home worried him.

He had just pulled out his phone to call her when she walked in the door, his slightly worried expression meeting her exhausted one. He noticed the way she stood and the face she held that she did not have a good day and he decided right then and there he wanted to make the end of it the best for her.

She didn't greet him with a smile like she usually did, but he didn't mind, he understood. All she did when walking in the door was discarded her soaked jacket before turning to face him.

She recognized the little gleam in his eye and she knew he'd try make her feel better before they even exchanged any words. She didn't expect to be cheered up but she knew he could do it, she just didn't want him to; all she wanted to do was sleep.

"Don't do it," she told him.

"Don't do what?" He asked innocently as the conners of his mouth began ty curl up.

She narrowed her eyes slightly at his growing smile, fighting back her own smile.

"Don't do that," she said again.

"What?" He questioned though he knew what he was doing.

She had to turn her head away from him so he wouldn't see it was working, "don't smile the stupid, adorable freaking smile that lights up the world because today was horrible and I don't want to smile back."

"Then don't," he shrugged.

Tears began to pool in her eyes, she turned back to face him. The slight sparkle of her teary eyes made it obvious she was about to cry.

"Hey what's wrong?" He asked, making his way towards her.

"Today was just such a bad day and I come home and you're here, smiling that smile and you make me feel better without even saying anything and-" the beginning of her rambling was interrupted by a hug, her face getting buried in the hoodie covering his chest.

She continued though her words were all muffled by him and his hug but neither cared, she just needed to get it out. Eventually her mumbling turned to soft cries. He let her cry, gently rubbing her back with one hand while the other was holding her close.

A few minutes later her cries quieted and she started talking again but her words were still mumbled together and muffled by Anthony's hoodie.

"-just horrible," what she was saying became clear as she slowly lifted her head, "And I'm so lucky to have you" she smiled through her face that had turned red and puffy from crying.

He used his thumbs to wipe away her tears and gently pressed his lips to her forehead.

"I love you," he told her and without any other words, he walked off and returned only a minute later. He had ran her a hot shower he told her to take as long as she needs and he'll be waiting for her for when she's done.

Everyone has off days, this off day was a horrible one for Jazzy, but she got through it and always will, it's just a little easier when you've got you're favourite person there for you.

I didn't update this last week, idk why. Probably because I had school then work then I had to finish a book, write an essay on that book that wasn't finished and I swear I updated this but apparently I didn't, sorry sorry🥦
