Steve checked in on Ellum in the morning. The man was awake with Koji pulled onto his lap. Ellum had moved into a sitting position and glared at Steve when he entered. He tensed up and held Koji tighter, so Steve sat on the chair next to the bed.

"Hey bud, how are you feeling?" Steve asked. Ellum didn't respond and kept a steady glare on the man. Steve tilted his head in confusion. "Ellum?"

"Get the fuck away from me. This is all your fault," he hissed. Steve was taken aback, why was Ellum so upset at him?

"I'm sorry, what did I do exactly?"

"You made that fucking death machine,"

"Made...?" Steve asked, then remembered what he had overheard from his original crew. "No, you believe Alfredo?" He asked, shocked. He never would've thought that stubborn as a mule Ellum would've believed them.

"The blueprints don't lie Steve,"

"You're afraid of them-"

"I am not afraid," Ellum snapped, loudly. Steve flinched back, tears filling his eyes. Koji had started to wake up while the boys were arguing.

"I never would've thought you would believe them," Steve said, voice cracking. He stood up and took off wanting to get away from the medbay quickly. He sprinted to his room and shut the door. He ducked into the bathroom and locked it.

"Baby?" When Apollo's voice came through the door, he sounded worried. "Steve?"

"I-I'm fine," Steve lied, stuttering and his voice cracking. He tried to stop the tears, knowing that Dumbdog would be through that door any second. He had probably already picked the lock.

"Steve, can you come out?" Apollo asked him gently. The doorknob started to turn so Steve leaned against the door to stop it. Not that it would do much with Apollo on the other side.

Steve slid against the floor a little as Dumbdog managed to get the door open enough to slip in. He saw Steve in tears and became worried immediately. Steve was pulled into a warm lap and immediately curled up, starting to cry. He wanted to be distracted so bad.

Apollo was speaking but Steve couldn't hear the words. He felt his chin being tilted up and felt Apollo's hot breath on his neck. He found himself nodding, still unsure of what words Apollo was saying. Steve felt lips on his and instinctively kissed back.he felt himself being picked up and soon felt a soft bed underneath him. Then he shoved Apollo off.

"What is wrong with you?" Steve snapped, Apollo looking shocked, never once had Steve pushed him away. Usually Steve started it actually. And he had just nodded in agreement.

"What the fuck do you mean?" Apollo asked, sounding annoyed. To his own surprise he hadn't wanted to stop kissing Steve.

"You have a boyfriend,"

"And he knows what we are, Steve. He doesn't care. I was just trying to distract you," dumbdog said, still majorly confused but now even more upset that Steve was rejecting him. Why was he so upset about it though?

"What are we Apollo? Cause I am not here to be your fuck toy,"

"Who the hell said I thought of you like that? Who, Steven?" Dumbdog growled. He was already upset enough and with Steve saying no he was just upset. "You know what? Never mind," Apollo said and got up. He left Steve alone in the bedroom, walking off, thinking over what his friend had said

Steve watched as Dumbdog left, he was alone. He had gotten into a fight with Apollo and Ellum in one day. His mind was seemingly filled with fog, unable to think clearly. What had he done to make everyone hate him?
