Chapter 2: A new beginning

It has been a couple of months now since the fall of wall Maria. Not long after I decided that I wanted to do something, something to help fight against the titans. I want to join the survey corps.

It was a hard and grueling 3 years, but I had managed to get through basic training. I don't think it would of been possible if I didn't have others to be with. There was Mikasa, a tall young girl with black hair who was also a skilled fighter (a total bad ass in my eyes), Eren who is always so determined and always talking about how he is going to eradicate all the titans from the world, and honestly he kinda worries me. Armin who is very smart and has lots of potential, he just needs to loosen up and not be so scared all the time, and there is also Jean, Connie, and Sasha. Although they all may be younger than me since they're all only about 16-17 while I'm 23, I still see them as really good friends and stick with them.

Today was the graduating ceremony, and being announced will be the top 10 cadets, in which I hope I made into. The whole time during basic training I felt like I wasn't doing good enough and that I wasn't strong enough because I have very high standards of myself and expect alot from myself, but people always said otherwise, said that I was amazing and in fact very strong for my small stature. So maybe I was just being too hard on myself.

It was time, all cadets were in formation waiting, waiting for the announcement and to finally choose where they will go.

"Welcome cadets to your graduation!" Shadis announced.
"First I will be announcing the top 10 cadets of the 104th South division!"
"To start off with in 10th place we have Armin Arlett"
"9th Sasha Braus"
"8th Connie Springer"
"7th Jean Kirschtein"
"6th Eren Yeager"
"5th Annie Leonhart"
"4th Bertholdt Hoover"
"3rd Reiner Braun"
"2nd Mikasa Ackerman"
"And finally the top cadet...(Y/N)
(L/N)!"

"What?!?" You say to yourself shocked and surprised. " I couldn't of been that good, not better than Mikasa."

"Congrats (Y/N)!!!" All your friends say cheering and clapping, gathering around you.

"Now!!, it's time for you cadets to choose what positions you will take" Shadis says
"If you wish to go to the Garrison head over to commander Pixis. The Military Police go to commander Dok. And finally if you wish to go to the Survey Corps, head over too Commander Erwin. Good luck cadets!!!"

I head over to commander Erwin, and following me was Eren, Mikasa, Armin, Jean, Connie, Sasha, and a few others.

"Welcome cadets to the Survey Corps, I am Erwin your commander and with me are too of my squad leaders to help you guys get acquainted, Hange and Levi"

I looked at them and when I looked to Levi something seemed awfully familiar, but I can't quite put my finger on it, "I feel as if I've seen him somewhere before" you think to yourself.

"Alright cadets it's time to head to headquarters and get you settled in" Erwun says, and we all head out.
