Hayley's pov

I looked up at the tall building before me. Severus and Remus led me into grimauld place. Sirius greeted us at the door, he went to hug me only to be stopped by Severus. Remus leaned in and whispered in sirius's ear, an understanding look washed over sirius's face. A look that was quickly replaced by a friendly smile.

"I don't think we've properly talked Hayls," Sirius said he turned to Sev

"Mind if I steal her for a bit sniv-Severus," Sirius eyed me,

Sev sighed nodding a wide grin broke out across Sirius's face and he moved towards he stairs waving for me follow. I followed my brothers godfather up the stairs he babbled on about each room telling stories. I glanced in a empty room and saw an abundance of boxes, Sirius seemed to notice I'd stopped following and appeared beside me.

"Ah I see your admiring the black family's artifacts. More like rubbish to me," Sirius snorted.

"This place reminds me of the orphanage," I said sitting down on a box. Sirius sat across from me,

"Moony mentioned you had a stint at a orphanage, I'm sorry about that," he said I shrugged,

"Wasn't so bad and it worked out in the end... so what do I call you?"

"Uncle Sirius? Padfoot?"

I went silent uncle? He must've been close with my parents... I knew he was but right now looking at the shaggy man before all I wanted to do was ask him about my parents about godrics hollow. Severus didn't talk of them and I didn't want to hurt Remus. Something told me life had already hurt Sirius enough that he maybe wouldn't mind answering my questions. I rubbed my throat feeling a little tickle at the back of my throat.

"Padfoot? What were they like?" I asked looking up at him,

"James was my best friend, loyal, reckless, brave, a good dad, I was the best man at your parents wedding," he said getting a wistful look in his eye. I looked at him praying he'd continue.

"He asked your mum out so ofFen he kept getting rejected," Sirius chuckled,

"Is it weird that I miss them? Even though I never met them?"

"Not at all,"

A knock at the door alerted is to my godfathers presence he offered his warm smile before nodding his head and mouthing something too Sirius who jumped up eyes wide. He cleared his throat.

"I think it's time you join the other kids, loved our chat though," he hurried out of the room. Remus walked towards me with a smile.

"Bonding I see," I nod,

Remus sighs a little he looks exhausted I swayed slightly as I stood up and Remus lead me back down stairs. The moment we hit the bottom of the stairs a loud smash draws our attention to a pink haired woman standing next to a broken vase. She wasn't the only new face in the hallway. There were a lot of people, the real moody among them and...

"Harry!" Hermione yelled hugging him.

When did she get here? I suppose that's who Sirius meant by other kids. Molly walked over hands on her hips shooing us upstairs. Ron and Hermione were explaining everything to Harry when The twins apparated into the room. Right they can use magic whenever now. Ever the bad influences they led us all out to the hallway with a nest little contraption so we could eavesdrop on the adults. I barely understood what they were talking about, it was a bunch of whispers. Crookshanks stole the ear preventing any further eavesdropping luckily the meeting seemed to have ended. Dinner time.

I sat between Remus and Severus as everyone bickered over Harry joining the order. I started to cough. This immediately drew my guardians attention to me. I internally grimaced I do not want to be sick. Severus has been so worried these passed few months I don't want to worry him further.

"Dry throat pass the water please," I lied Sev passed me a drink.

I downed it suppressing the new wave of coughs. I stood up abruptly swiftly exiting the room. Once safely in Sev's and my bedroom I unleashed a coughing fit. I hunched over slightly clutching my stomach it felt like my diaphragm was coming up my throat.

"Sick?" I turned to see George leaning on the door frame I let out another cough as an answer to his question.

"Don't tell Severus or Remus," I wheezed, George raised an eyebrow at me.

"Don't tell Severus and Remus what,"

George paled he slowly turned around to see the brooding Professor behind him. George shot me an apologetic look before disappearing. Severus stalked towards me. I tried to suppress another coughing fit, it fought it's way up out of my throat. Severus sighed.

"It wasn't a dry throat," he sighed

he removed his cloak and wrapped it around me. He gestured for me to sit down on the bed. He rummaged through his brandishing a small vial. He handed it to me.

"Drink," I downed the greenish liquid it tasted bland and lumpy. Severus offered me a small smile, he sat on a chair by my bed.

"Would you like to tell me why you didn't want to tell me you were unwell?" I shrunk into his cloak, I knew I'd be in more trouble if I didn't tell him the truth.

"I didn't want to worry you,"

"It's my job to worry you silly child,"
