Third Person's POV
"You said you won't do anything to him" Taehyung yelled as he entered the palace.
"And you believed me" The king mocked.
"Bambi was right! Sankoris aren't trustworthy" The prince mumbled.
"Oh please-" The king was immediately cut off,
"DON'T! TODAY I AM HERE TO SPEAK AND YOU WILL LISTEN!!" Taehyung yelled.
"Was it fun watching people suffer? Did it fill your cup with cold malice? Did you get a buzz of power when they cried and begged for common human decency? Don't answer. I don't give a damn what you have to say, how you make cruelty alright with twisted logic. Am I angry? No. I'm bitter and that's worse. Anger is over fast, bitterness lasts"
"I was raised in love and peace, taught to show grace and forgive but when my mind turns to you none of it is there. You knew what you were doing. I suffered and you drank it like a fine wine, becoming intoxicated on your own power. All I feel is bitterness and with each passing year it grows like a tumour, pushing on the side of me that was serene, enveloping me in toxic darkness. You pay for everything one way or another. Hide, asshole, your end is coming" Taehyung retorted and walked out, not waiting for another second.
He swallowed that anger when it was a fire-seed and forgot to drink something cool and so it grew in his belly and it will keep growing until one way it will come out as hot as any dragon has ever flamed, for the person he loves the most.
Taehyung was past the breaking point, he had swallowed his limits all this while but not now, not anymore. Jungkook is his love, his everything and him hurting his love is something he won't accept, never. He never wants his Jungkookie to get hurt.
Taehyung feels lucky to have Jungkook in his life as his boyfriend and that is gonna remain the same for the rest of their lives and he is a threat to his love so he has gotta end it, end him and this isn't only about Jungkook but all the people of Sankori who have been suffering from the blood-lust of the king.
The time has come, this has to get over sooner.
"Where were you?" Jungkook asked as soon as he entered his condo.
Jungkook and him have been staying at his condo ever since Jungkook got attacked, which was almost a week ago. Jungkook got a lot of injuries and he wasn't safe so Taehyung got him and Yeonjun shifted here to his condo. It was a lot safer than the fortress.
"Just out" Taehyung mumbled, walking closer to Jungkook.
"Hyung"
"Hmm?"
"Where were you?" Taehyung sighed, pulling Jungkook closer in a hug.
"I went to meet him"
"Why?"
"To let him know that his end is near"
"You aren't planning revenge, are you?" Jungkook carefully looked at Taehyung as the elder shook his head.
"Revenge is for stupid people who lack positive direction. I can come up with all the justifications I want for revenge, yet it will always be the work of an inner tantrum and thus can never represent my best or what I could have been capable of, this is not revenge, this is a payback to let him know his time is over"
Jungkook sighed and nodded his head, agreeing with Taehyung. Taking revenge on him would be petty, revenge isn't the solution for such things. Make dread dead, not buried but in an open casket, for they need to be realistic in order to both grieve and make good choices about their next step.
"Let's runaway Bambi"
"Huh?"
"Let's runaway from this for a while"
"We can't, I can't"
"What do you mean?"
"Hyung, we can't run away from this"
Taehyung chuckled and replied,
"My sweet little baby, I mean I am going to Yeonha Kingdom for some matters, come with me?"
"No, I- I can't" Jungkook replied, averting his gaze.
Taehyung scowled, pulling away with a confused expression.
"Why?"
"I just can't"
"At least give me a reason baby"
"I- I don't have one"
"Okay, I understand" Taehyung replied, pulling away completely.
"I- I am gonna go pack. Me and Hoseok hyung are leaving this evening" Taehyung said, it was suddenly very awkward.
Before Jungkook could say anything, Taehyung walked away. This wasn't actually an argument but for both of them it turned awkward. There was a silence between them, which never happened before. Never since they confessed and had the boyfriends tag.
There was somethings going on both Taehyung and Jungkook were aware of it, Taehyung hadn't told Jungkook about the things that were coming on their way in probably a day more. Taehyung didn't know that Jungkook actually knew the things Taehyung tried to keep Jungkook away from. The reason Jungkook didn't want to go with him, he had things to do at Sankori, things that will help Taehyung.
He wasn't sure if Taehyung would be mad at him for doing this but he was sure he would take care of it later. After everything gets sorted, he knew it would be okay and this was only a matter of a couple days now, things were coming to an end and everyone was preparing for it, except for the king himself who had no idea who fast the power, the kingdom would be sweeped out of his hands.
