Night fell over the land, a cool breeze rushing by as stars twinkled brightly up in the sky.
Fallen leaves crackled loudly as an old purple troll ran through the forest, panting heavily in fear, her eyes wide as she cradled something very important in her arms.
Behind her, a large Growl Beast was giving chase, trying desperately to keep up with it's meal.
The old women ran for her life, hugging the thing she held, tightly in her arms, making sure it remained safe and unharmed.
She ran as fast as she possibly could, but the Growl Beast was quickly gaining on her. She knew she couldn't outrun it. She only had one choice... she had to protect her precious cargo at all cost.
Carefully, but quickly, she placed the thing she had been holding down on the ground, hiding it in the tall blades of grass, before finally running off, the Growl Beast chasing after her, sprinting right part the spot where the thing was now hidden...
—————
The moon was shining brightly up in the sky, as a Cuddle Pup Mama lay in her den, watching her little bundles of joy playing happily together.
She watched them with loving eyes, until she heard a sudden sound. A sound that made the fur rise on the back of her neck, as she growled softly.
The pups sensed their mother's fear, quickly running to take shelter behind her.
"Gwama!?" a tiny voice called out from off in the distance. "Gwama!?"
Slowly, the Cuddle Pup Mama rose to her feet, nudging her precious babies gently to tell them to stay put, as she went to investigate...
—————
Sniffling was heard along with the sound of soft whimpering, as the Cuddle Pup Mama walked stealthily though the forest, finally spotting the creature who was making all the racket.
"Hewo? Gwama? Whewe... whewe awe you?"
She continued walking, suddenly freezing in place, as she spotted a little blue troll who was sitting in the forest all alone, hidden in a tall patch of grass, as he looked around for any signs of his grandma, but much to the little troll's dismay, she was nowhere to be seen.
The young child cried softly, as he hugged a little stuffed alligator tightly. He wanted his grandma. Where was his grandma?
Slowly and cautiously, the Cuddle Pup Mama approached the troll, making sure not to be seen by it.
What was this little blue creature? Was it dangerous? She had never seen anything like it before.
She growled softly, ready to attack the threat, but stopped herself, her eyes widening as she stared at this creature. She could tell he was just a pup. No older than a year.
"Gwama!?" the baby cried out, tears pouring from his light blue eyes. "Gwama!?"
He was alone... why was this young child alone in the dark and dangerous forest?
Slowly, the Cuddle Pup Mama made her way towards the crying child, accidentally stepping on a fallen branch...
The twig snapped, the little blue troll's head shooting up at the sound, as he locked eyes with the massive Cuddle Pup Mama standing right in front of him.
He gulped, his eyes widening in terror, as he hugged his stuffed toy tightly, frightened by the large beast coming right at him.
"Gwama!" the young boy cried out, hoping she would hear his call for help, and come to his rescue, as the Cuddle Pup Mama just stood there, looking at him in confusion. What was that little blue thing?
Slowly, she began to approach again, sniffing the young child closely to try and see if this creature was dangerous, but the little blue troll just whimpered softly, frozen in place, too scared to move, as he stared up at the monster in front of him.
Well... one thing was for sure... this child was no threat.
The Cuddle Pup Mama looked around for any signs of an adult being nearby, but there was nothing to signify anyone was here to watch over this terrified child. Could he really be alone?
A slight breeze suddenly rushed by, blowing the scent of an older women over to the Cuddle Pup Mama's nose. It was faint, as if the person the smell belonged to had left hours ago. Along with it, was the scent of a Growl Beast. The Cuddle Pup Mama knew exactly what this meant...
The little troll locked eyes with the massive beast once more, whimpering softly in fear, as tears flooded his crystal blue eyes. Was this thing going to hurt him?
She knew what needed to be done... this child would not survive on it's own. Especially not out in the wild.
Carefully, as to not harm the baby, she picked him up by the back of his diaper, gently carrying him towards her den.
