December 2019A brown haired girl was sleeping peacefully in her comfortable bed, dreaming of a snowy Christmas this year, which won't happen since the last time it snowed in their island was 11 years ago and it was only 1 inch of snow.
The golden sun that raised from the horizon peeked in from her open bedroom window turned her brown hair into a beautiful shade of bright gold, the cool seabreeze balancing out the hotness of her room as her oversized David Bowie t-shirt wrinkled up to her hips, revealing her white Calvin Klein boxers.
She groaned when her peaceful sleep was cut off due to the loud music that came below her house, grabbing a pillow to try and block out the noise, it didn't work since the bass of the music roared the entire house. She tugged her blanket off of her body, quickly rubbing her temples since her brain was squeezed immediately as soon as she sat up.
She put her mismatched socks on before going outside her room, not really caring to put some shorts on since the shirt could be considered as a dress. She tries not to slip on the polished hardwood floor as she walked through their hallway which was filled with beautiful, eccentric, and unique paintings that hung throughout the green colored walls; She adored their house, it's uniqueness, the pop of colors and the amount of plants inside, she couldn't imagine how it would be if it was a white, boring, modern house.
Good thing her mom was the one that was fully in charge of the decorations of the house, if it was her dad it would probably be very country, and if there's one thing she hates, -- it's country.
Her face immediately scrunched up as she walked inside the kitchen which reeked of the smell of weed, alcohol, and warm thick air due to the windows that shut close which locked up all of the bad air inside the kitchen. She felt herself slowly getting dizzy due to the amount of carbon dioxide she inhaled, she used the knuckle of her index finger to cover her nostrils before walking over to the windows and sliding all of them open.
The once clean kitchen was gone; trash was everywhere, a bunch of empty beer cans, alcohol bottles, and small grains of weed and white powder all over the granite kitchen counter, the two clearly very intoxicated boys didn't even realize her presence in the room since they were too lost in their own world.
Her head pounded even more due to the loud banging music that caused her to wake up from her comfortable slumber, she spotted the speaker and stomped over to it, jamming the 'off' button hard.
The boys look over in her direction, wondering what happened to the music. Their eyes were both faded due to sleep deprivation and the alcohol and drugs.
"Hey, why'd you do that for?" Asked the blonde boy, his brows furrowed as he blew smoke out of his mouth.
She ignored the question and opened the cabinet beneath the kitchen sink, grabbing a lavender scented Lysol and spraying it all over the kitchen while her fingers pinch her nose shut, "God, this place reeks of crackhead energy."
"What is that supposed to mean?" The black haired boy asked.
"It means that this place fucking stinks, Kelce." She replied, her chipped fingernails still pressing down on the nozzle of the spray bottle.
"I don't smell anything."
"Oh, I wonder why." She quipped sarcastically before slamming the air freshening spray on the counter, "Oh! I know, That's probably because you've been here for eight hours, and your stupid brains have already adjusted to it." She wondered why the smell didn't make them pass out even if they couldn't smell it anymore, it still effects their body, and having breathing this contaminated air for eight hours while being high and drunk is very dangerous.
